The good thing is that el salvador is safe now becuase all of the gangsters are arrested
And that has its pros and cons. The government doesn’t need any evidence or reason to do what they want to do. Yea, a lot of pandilleros are locked up now, but so are innocent people who were never involved. If you know the history, it’s a sad reality it had to come to but Bukele has changed the country for the better overall.

I just returned from el Salvador
I'm just starting my research on places to move to. So far the Philippines, Thailand and now I'm reseaching El Salavdor. As you know Phoenix is changing and not for the better. Glendale is just Metro Phoenix, so you are right in it.

@@fernandpimentel4990 Not much great here in Az. The governments here are stealing in the form of taxes and interest and penalties. It's a system that's become designed for people to fail. There is no longer a place to go to get face-to-face support or to simply pay your taxes. They have an extremly convoluded websit where everything is run with a skeleton staff. If you call for help, over and over again, you will get a recording that will tell you to call back and then auto-hang up. Maybe you get lucky but more likely it will take weeks to get a live person. Meanwhile, penalties and interest keep adding up, monthly and daily as you hope you can get someone to help you navigate the complicated designed system . Soon they will be stealing assets for non-payment. If you show up they charge you $35 per monthly filing penalty. The last time I was there to drop about 8 months of returns, they guard literally put his hand on his gun, and the 2 workers dropped their eyebrows like I was the enemy. I have never witnessed such blatened hostility until we were hit with the lockdowns, and I think this behavoir will be the norm from now on.

It's changed drastically thanks to President Bukele, MS13 was a real problem in ES. What's left is what always was.. a beautiful country with friendly people

My hubby just came back from El Salvador. A friend invited him to his birth country. He loved it. He met great people, met a great Uber guy that took him to all major tourist attractions, he loved the sea food and all tropical fruits. We are all thinking to go one day as a family. We moved here from Canada a year ago. We are much safer and more free here. It was cool to see some of our favourite spots in this video. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

I've been to El Salvador three times. Mostly in San Salvador is where I was at. Did not really have a good time. Last time I was there, I was around nine years old. Had to sleep with nets to protect from the flies and mosquitos. All we had were cold water. It made me appreciate what my parents went through to become a legal US citizen to have me here. I do hope things have gotten a lot better should I return.

I went this July. I felt safer in El Salvador than I did in Mexico, the rest of Central America or Colombia. And people in El Salvador were just the friendliest, most seemed excited to see tourists as they haven’t had many before.

That's an amazing point brought up in regards to the museum. A lot of people look at whites as colonizers and Latinos as victims. When in reality, the Spanish and hispanics are just as much of a colonial power as the british
Correct Spaniards are Europeans, they are white. Hispanics are a mixture of Native Americans and Europeans, predominantly Spaniards. We shouldn't be called Hispanics, we are Native Americans. Natives from North America aren't called English. Know what you're talking about before typing.
