There's usually more than that. not all armatures have a gold wire but most i've scrapped do. Down the thin side edge of the arms in the armature if you look really close you'll notice it looks like two pieces of metal laminated together and that's exactly what it is it's aluminum that have been heat pressed together with a gold wire running down the length of it. You can try to fish it out of there but you end up tearing it up into bits and makes it a pain in the butt... I just take the arms and toss them into a strong sodium hydroxide solution. just let it sit and do its thing for a little while and it turns the aluminum to mushy mud you can just wash off and filter out any solids left behind. and you'll find yourself some gold wires usually
nice... we have a big bucket full of those head assemblies.. gonna take a loong time.. but 10 to 1, is 10 to 1. Nice channel that inspired me before. Keep it up.
Wow! Good to know! I'll try soon!

Oh nice! I put them aside after trying to tear out a few. But i didn't notice the pin haha.
So, just dissolve them both out i guess. Thanks
Is it pure gold or does it need processing? Thank you
I need mentoring master @idontknowmyfirstname69
Maybe heat gun, expands the metal a bit.
You know how long it would take to get 10 grams? A lot, good tip for those out there in the unknown, im back
😂better to get more from memory sticks. Or plug pins.monitor ones.

You can do it!
Solid or plated?
Have to be solid surely to get a gram from only 10
1 gram per 10 grams of pins would be 10% yield, thats hard to believe. Most "plated" pins have less then 1%. Sometimes even less then 0.5% yield
Just checked my HDDs…. None of them got this little pin…😢
Same for me, are these pins rare?
I was taking a bond wire from armature but now a will keep those too.
Nice ratio 10:1.
Thanks.
that HD pin goes straight through the regal water ?
I'm crying, I didn't know this before, I remove 1 ton of HDDs a year :((
😶🥲
god dammit, i've been throwing those away!
Are there any on the big readers? I can't find and
Only found some on small laptop readers.
Awesome 🎉!
Thanks!

No, High quality gold plated pins.
@@TrinityGoldRecovery they are gold plated right? Can we directly melt it ?
