this is great version. the intro seems demo-ish, maybe indie band-ish, but when Liam's vocals kick in and the drums pick it up, it immediately transcends, and soars in the sweeping rock dream that we know this song to be. It just really inspires me.
The little up pitch he makes in the word "garden" is so unique, it is the only version I've heard that has it, and it is a gem, could have been on the album version.
By far their best song. It’s actually original for a start and not heavily influenced, the theme, Liam’s vocals and tone at that age, the falsetto Noel part, the guitar solo. I don’t think they ever did better for me- although there are of course many great songs.
Taken during the "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants" era. Due to the departure of rhythm guitarist Bonehead and bassist Guigsy, Noel pretty much nearly played all the instruments on all the songs. To top it all, Bonehead and Guigsy's parts that were already there were re-recorded due to legal reasons.

Noel wrote the songs, and he was polishing those songs since he got his first guitar on his teenage years. That was the main key to create those hit songs. Not just commercially songs but real songs that hit people emotions. Thats the grace and the magic of it.
Apparently Noel wrote this song because he heard Kurt Cobain had wrote a song called 'I hate myself and I want to die' which pissed him off. Hence 'Live forever '
You may argue better, because that's a matter of your personal preference. But bigger? You can't say that by any metrics, that's outright delusional. Nothing, noone compares to the beatles in terms of big.
Has anybody been feeling the pain lately?
Yeah man...and this song saved my life.

Simply one of the most beautiful songs ever written and so more superb to hear it in it’s very origins
What a time to be 14. 1994 will go down as one of the great years for music.

this demo is very beautiful
I have never heard this before. It’s really quite beautiful. I love it.
Liam sounds great here. So much less nasally and not trying to imitate John Lennon.
I love Liam’s voice without the nasally vocals it’s more genuine
I love the Lennon impression
Think he must heard John Lydon a bit later then...
It’s just youth I think… he then started snarling, apparently had vocal issues. I never like it from about the third album…
beautiful voice💥
Young Liam voice was amazing
Liam is an angel
Never knew Noel played a Rickenbacker bass!
2000 era. Watch the vid to Go Let it Out
An epic song that you felt touch something deep in you. Both inspiring and melancholy at the same instant. Amazing.
Best pop song ever ❤
Beautiful
The demos is brilliant
that picture is so nostalgic for some reason

All of Oasis is nostalgic for me. The way the lads act with each other reminds me of my old friends every time.
@@jamesm.3829 Hopefully you're not talking about when they are backstage.
@@timothynnn Yeah but fighting is part of it. I'd rather fight than have nothing at all. Plus they're Irish it was gonna end up that way at some point
@@jamesm.3829 same for me mate. You argue the most with the people you love the most!
This version reminds me of Champagne Supernova🍾
I wish this version could be purchased.

Sounds a bit like Half the world away? Just me?
Effortless from Liam, peak vocals for me.
Its amazing how a bunch of yobs come up with songs like this lol, right time at the right place I guess, they got lucky
Yes, it's easy to write songs like Champagne supernova, anyone could have done it.

You look like a yob
@@Carty2222 wow que buena historia, si he visto el título de esa canción y me dejó pensando
The original lineup made magic. Their beauty was biblical. Bigger and better than The Beatles.
I wouldn't say that though.

They’re brilliant but they’re a rip off of the Beatles. Not in the same stratosphere.
