As an Intersex person, with whom did undergo childhood Intersex genital mutilation surgery, I am so grateful that there are other Intersex persons coming out. I love this. Thank you.
Omg you guys... I found your channels separately and your stories/lives are hella interesting, and now your dating! Hahaha that was random but happy for you two!!
YOU HUMANS ARE THE CUTEST! Plus, I'm so excited to see content on your channel again! If you ever want to chat about intersex things on my channel I am 10000% down.
Hi Emily and Pidgeon, Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your experiences online. Your videos have helped me to broaden my perspective on gender and I have learnt so much from them. I wish you all the love and happiness you can find and I hope you will keep fighting for the betterment of other intersex people's lives in the west and beyond.
Thank you so much! Feedback like that is so great - I'm glad our videos are helping people to understand more. Let me know if there's anything else you would like to learn about us!
You create one big boom of positive energy together..you are awesome..I m so glad the humanity is changing to more openness and understanding ..thank you for your videos
Wait what!?!? Couple or not?!?!? On a serious note.. I am a “normal”, born female, woman and I’ve always have insecurities and it’s crazy to me that finding you and pidgeon I feel so happy about myself. You guys are a breath of fresh air. Please keep doing what you do. Much love to you both.
I can imagine why they’d want to remove your testes; odds of cancer are very small(though costs associated would be huge), but if you have them removed, you’d have a 100% chance of being hooked to big pharma forever.
I’m so relieved you’re (not) dating 😂 just a few little important details being forgotten by your (not) girlfriend and I care way too much about you since discovering your channel 3 hours ago :P
I feel so stupid and regret. I got the surgery to remove the undescended testes. And now I'm having hot flashes everyday and I need to eat premarine whole my life.
The ring finger thing is interesting, I have longer ring fingers than pointer fingers. I'm not intersex as far as I know, but I am a trans man and I'm wondering if the more testosterone in womb thing is real.
There's a lot of speculation about hormones coming into play around a lot of sex and gender differentiation but I'm not sure about the accuracy of it all!
I'm a ciswoman who also has longer ring fingers than pointer fingers, but I've always tested as "masculine" in my personality and thought processes. There might actually be something true about more testosterone in the womb!
I just tried the finger thing. It's kind of inconsistent. I'm a trans woman, and my pointer fingers are longer if I have my hands resting in the air. On my left had, my ring finger is longer when I set it down on the table, but my right hand still has the pointer finger a little longer.
Cooper Olm, my ring fingers are longer as well but I’m a straight, cis female. But I have Endocrine disorders. Nothing to do with female hormones but ACTH and GH (pituitary and adrenal issues)
I have the long ring fingers too. My hands seem square and masculine looking. I’m femme-presenting AFAB non-binary. I did have fused labia but I do not know why... (I have ovaries) I also did not really grow breasts until my thirties. ... and I feel kinda dysphoric about them. Bodies are confusing!
I feel like Laina Morris is your doppelganger it might just be dem big blue eyes and brown hair though. Loved watching your videos. Not intersex, but wanting to understand different people a little better. Keep shining!
I’m not intersex, queer, and have some of those hand features. I have a genetic connective tissue disorder that causes small hands with long fingers. This was a really cool video
I'm pretty sure that fingers thing is not very accurate lol. Watching you two was very relaxing after re-watching AHS first ever episode (which triggers anxiety but I love the show, so...). I love you both so much and I'm also a Frida Kahlo fan (I saw the painting in your wall), she is such an icon for female and LGBT empowerment
Greetings. My perspective on intersex transformation is to take a minimal approach. Many males that I see, tend to go over the top with it and end up looking like freaks! In other words, a male that primarily looks male, but has slightly feminine qualities, such as a narrow waste, wider hips and defined glutes through daily workouts; along with slight facial metrosexual makeup, is very sexy and is a head turner, even for straight males. I know this to be a fact as an intersex gay male. A male that tries to looks female, rarely achieves their goal and ends up looking just plain weird. Reaching androgyny, requires balance for both sexes. It's an artform. If one goes to far either way in appearance, it negates the outcome.
Hi Emilord, I think it's great that you share your experiences as an intersex with everyone. I have a question but first I want to share this; 100 years ago or so, intersex was called hermaphrodite. As soon as doctors discovered that surgical intervention was possible, parents were advised, just after birth, to "normalize" the gender. This meant that there was secrecy and as a result nobody was aware of having contact with an intersex person. At a later age many intersex people had problems with gender allocation at birth, usually the operation led to female sexual characteristics. It was assumed that upbringing had greater influence than biology. Nowadays there is actually reintegration of the intersex human and in fact the intersex represents the third gender type. In recent days I have been in a discussion with a transsexual who insinuated that transsexuality and intersex are related and comparable. My question; Do you think there is a realistic comparison between intersex and transsexual? If so: how? And if not: what are the differences?
We're very different, intersex alludes to people who don't fit in the binary terms of male/female, in a biological way. Transgender alludes to people who don't feel like their perception of themselves matches with their body. It's more of a psychological thing, based on your identity. And transsexuals are transgenders who change their bodies to better reflect their own identity, instead of living in a permanent crisis. It's insanely frustrating to be misgendered (treated as a gender you're not) daily, so, yeah. I'm trans so if you have further questions of us let me know. Intersexual people are harder to explain for me, but keep digging in this channel and you'll find what you're looking for. Cheers.
Also, while sadly some intersexuals might have suffered from forced sex reassignment surgery, transsexuals usually do it by choice, so instead of being traumatic it can be empowering. Finally, no, Intersex folks aren't a third gender. They're not a single type. They're beautifully unique. But I trust you'll find more about this by researching on your own, Emily has a great vid in this channel and also gave a very complete ted talk.
@@MaryamMaqdisiThank you for answering my questions and react to my insights thus far. I really never thought about it and the transgenders I'd tried to talk to about this all react very hostile to my questions and insights. But really, you just confirmed that my insides are, at least partly, correct. The intersex is not the third sex? I guess that's because the variations are so many? But is it not true that intersex is characterized by a mix of sexual organs in each case? And therefor we can, in spite of all the differences say, it's the third sex? Do we really need to specify each and every difference and name a new gender for each one of these differences? About your statement concerning the transgender, You say; " Transgender alludes to people who don't feel like their perception of themselves matches with their body." Can you elaborate on that? I'm trying to understand how it is possible, what goes through some ones mind, to not identify with their birth gender. And I wonder if it is a spiritual crisis that prohibit a transgender person from acknowledging their birth gender. I can not agree with the opinion that gender is a social construct or that it doesn't relate to reality. As where in the early 20th century the intersex was known, we just were meant to forget they exist, nothing is mentioned in literature about transgenders except that native Indians acknowledge 5 spiritual genders. I hope my reasoning doesn't offend you, I merely try to explain my thinking.
@@MaryamMaqdisiYes, I apologize for asking such personal questions. The only thing I want is to understand and I will ask critical questions. And my opinion does not matter in itself if it does not match that of another. Never see that as an attack or conviction of your person. And thank you for your explanation because now I understand the reactions I've had to deal with better. I hope we can talk about this further. I also have to deal with my emotional burden because many people are simply judgmental and offensive in life. I am happy to accept your offer to continue talking on discord. I created an account there under the name Linda Neutraal. Would you like to find me there? Thank you very much for your offer.
the ring finger thing can be confusing because it depends on the position of the fingers 😂, but the rule is about the length of the middle phalange of the ring finger and the index finger, in women they are equal in length, in men the middle phalange of the ring finger is longer, ON AVERAGE that is 😂..I mean there are exceptions eg my female teacher and my male cousin 😂..
Honest question: Are most intersex people assigned “female” identities as children? Because it seems that all of the people in these videos have “female” names, and go through a female puberty due to androgen insensitivity. I guess it would make sense that’s the way the conventional medical categorizing works based on their outward gentital expression? (And the lack of ability to respond to androgens)
Right wen I think I understand I get confused. So you are non binary and youre intersex and use they them pronouns but you are also their ‘Girlfriend’ Why would one chose girlfriend over boyfriend? Or vise versa
Kristiina Pulli gender exists on a spectrum and plenty of people go through their entire lives without knowing their intersex. you could very well be 95-5 leaning towards the female end for example.

What would happen if you gave someone with AIS hormone therapy with testosterone
Won’t work, because their system doesn’t react to testosterone. The testosterone would be altered in oestrogen.
You two are so cute !
You guys are too funny, love the energy 🤗
My ring finger is longer than my pointer 😂 and I’m not inter sex! Haha well not to my knowledge
so you are.............???
omg!!! love you guys so much it hurts
You guys are really cute, I enjoyed this, you’re very real
Hey, I hope you're good, wherever you are.
Rest in peace emilord
