The item you thought might be a barrel bung, might just have been attached to a boat or raft so something and ROPE or cording would be wrapped around it at the dock or tied off next to something else
Hi Peakys, a wonderful adventure. What a day!! It sure looks like an ancient spear to me, fingers crossed for you. The padlock is gorgeous and the shoe pattern a miracle. It would be worth investigating how to preserve the wood if possible. I’m so thankful I found your channel because from the beginning to the end I am either laughing (like with Mikes speech) or in awe at what you all find. You are all AWESOME. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You guys should try father up past the brayford pool and down towards the golf course it's an old towpath all the way down to the piewipe pub there is bound to be lots of treasures along there I've even found fossils down there
