    I just finished making this top about a month ago! I used about 300 grams of yarn and your tutorial was fabulous. the only part I had a few troubles with was decreasing the stitches on the second sleeve, but I figured it out pretty easily!!! super pretty top and even better tutorial 🥰

    For decreasing every 6th row, are you decreasing in the beginning and end of the row or are you alternating between the beginning and end like you did with the increases? 22:34

    hey there I couldn't understand how you crocheted after the increase in the arm piece there are an odd number of stitches so do you chain four as the beginning?

    When I made this top the 42 foundation chain seemed way big around my wrist. My yarn is 4 sized and I followed the exact measurements. Is there a way to fix this without restarting?

    thank you for this tutorial! just wondering if there was a particular reason you chose to do the sleeves in a rectangle, then sewed it up after? would it work if i did it in a round instead? thank you :)

      just because the bit that attaches to the back of the top is flat and not in a round, I'm not sure how you would go from crocheting in the round to a flat panel, I think its easier to crochet in a flat panel and then sew it up into a round.

    this may be a dumb question, but how do you put the top on? i feel like the hole at the bottom of the top doesn't expand enough to slide it over your head and shoulders. I'm making a top with a similar design to the body piece that you made and I'm worried i won't be able to get it on after I'm done crocheting it :(

      you should be able to get it on over your head because the mesh portion is pretty stretchy! thats how i put it on :)

      hey so sorry about that! if you dont know how to do a foundation chain you can totally start with a regular chain and then double crochet along that instead :)

    I just had a question with the increases, you showed two ways to increase which way are you supposed to increase

      you should use both ways, so your first increase can be either one of the ways it doesnt matter, but then after the first increase, you'll want to do the other increase method for the second increase, and keep alternating :)

    Idk what went wrong but i found the size of the bust increasing as I added more rows so i had to give up on the project eventually or ill just make it into a skirt💔😭

    When you do a increase why do you only do it on one side? I’ve seen others do on both so I’m just curious thank you

      i do it on one side personally because if you do it on both, when you come to sew the arms up, it becomes 2 increases in one row if that makes sense? which makes the sleeve kind of stick out where the increasing row is. thats just me personally tho haha!

      yes i turn my work after every round but i am working in a loop! usually crocheting in the round just means in loops? or so i thought, maybe i am wrong 😳

      nope they dont!! if your sleeves slip off then that means you should stitch it from the wrist higher up the sleeve (towards the armpit) so its tighter :)

      Same lol my boobs be poppin'. I used acrylic yarn and she uses cotton so stretch is possibly a big factor. When you do the tube foundation chain and try it on before you slip stitch it into a round, make sure you measure it stretched to meet and not simply held together if that makes sense

      i’d have to say the 4 seasons flinders yarn cause it is super versatile! you can use a 3.5 mm hook and make bikinis, or a 4/4.5mm hook and make crop tops, or double up and make sweaters!!

      @@heather_bts6066 I struggled a bit with bust sizing at first but 1. make sure you count your stitches and they are all the same number for each row 2. what I learnt from the first top I made is that you should make a foundation row that is really tight-fitting around that area because this stitch tends to stretch as you wear it. Also as tutorial says, keep trying it on as you go that is the key with this top 🫶🏻

      ​@@heather_bts6066 It also helps to remove a few inches from the foundation when working with these stitches so that it fits as a gets bigger because it does happen.
