Beautiful, concise, pattern! Thank you regarding the "Magic Ring" ...It was a AHA! moment!
Very nice ,id love to make one for my two months old grandson❤️
I love you and love your work you make everything so easy❤❤❤
😎love this easy to follow patern great tutor 🦋
beautiful
Thanks so much!
Do I add more rows how long does it need to be for a 5 year old pmease
Thank you for your tutorials and always clear instructions...Donna you're a good teacher especially for us beginners ❤️
Oh my goodness!!! I've only been crocheting a couple of years, and always dreaded the magic ring. I'd have to follow tutorials, stopping and rewinding over and over. You summed it up in less than a second! It had never clicked for me before watching this. It truly is nothing more than "a loose slipknot"....no sweeter words have ever been spoken! I'm way too excited over this, lol. THANK YOU!
Awesome! Glad the video and tips could help :)
It took me a bit to master the magic circle...I practiced, took it out and repeated many times but I got the hang of it. Once you figure it out, it's very easy!!
Thank you so much for the awesome pattern. Also, thank you for getting right to it and not wasting time in between. You're a great teacher!
Easy to follow pattern! I just made this today for my baby boy that’s due on Christmas. Thank you Donna Wolfe!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for the instructions, they were very clear and informative. My beanie took 3 hours for a newborn and 5 hours for a children's size and the cocoon took about 9.5 hours to make.
One thing I added was I made the belt buckle from crochet too instead of felt. Separately to the cocoon I CH26 then did 2SC for 1, SC for 7, 2SC for 1, SC for 4, 2SC for 1 and SC for 7, SL to finish. This made a rectangle that I left a long tail so I could weave it onto the belt section. I'm a beginner so don't know if that was a correct method but it worked!
question: how many skeins would 300 yards amount to? As I was googling, I believe and understood I saw 1 skein of red heart yard had 3 64 yards per skein, if in fact, I would need 1 skein of red heart yard correct.
Hi! Manufacturers wind yarn into a shape called a skein. A skein can contain any amount of yards of yarn. If the Red Heart yarn you saw says 364 yards per skein, then absolutely, you would need 1 skein of that particular yarn. Now if you were using something like Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn, you'd need more skeins, since they have less yards of yarn per each skein. As long as you have at least 300 yards of red yarn (or whatever color you want), you should be good. :)
+naztazia- well my dear I believed you answered my question perfectly blessing you you and tk u
Hello Naztazia, I am teaching Veterans how to crochet a beginners group. Do you have a pattern for your hats? Your hats are nice and your video is easy for me to follow. Veterans are having a difficult time following videos and spending too much time watching the video over and over again. I really like your work.
Thank you
Just WOW. When you said ‘the magic ring is basically just a loose slip knot’, you turned on a HUGE lightbulb for me! I’ve been trying and trying to get the MR down for weeks 😖😉. Thanks for the adorable pattern as well!
SAME!!
Me too lol
Can I keep increasing for the hat if I am making it for an older child?
Fabulous tutorial thank you 🙏 I just have a question on sizing, I usually make newborn hats that are approx 11 inches circumference so 15 inches seems very big, unless as you progress with the hat it gets smaller with the bulkier yarn? X
Can't wait to make this 😍 I'm due with my first baby girl around Christmas time ❤
Congratulations! The best kind of Christmas gift!
So beautiful and easy to follow👏👏. You are very clear.
Thank you for your kindness!
I love this! That white yarn is perfect for this project! I have a nephew who's having a baby in Dec. this would be perfect to make for his baby. Love your nails too. Is it a nail polish or false nails? If it's nail polish I'd love to know what kind/shade it is. Thanks for sharing another great pattern with us.
I cannot find the written pattern on your site? Could you please put a link directly to the pdf downloadable pattern?
What I love about this pattern is you work from the small end of the hat first. I have made similar hats that work from the large end making it difficult to crochet the smaller end with that weight. Great tutorial!
Hi, someone asked me to make one for a one year old! How many rounds of increases do you think I need to do for the cocoon? Thank you! 😊
OMG. Your video is amazing. Seriously the BEST tutorial I've seen. So so easy to follow! Thank you for this. I make hats for a hospital for newborns. This is going to be GREAT for Christmas newborns!!
I added pics of the hats I made to your Pinterest tutorial!
Is it 10 inches from the very bottom or from the none increase rounds?
what size is this hat for, ive done it few times trying to guess what i need for 6 month size
I love, love ,Love this pattern I’m making 2 hats for twin boys ,Noah & Liam going to see Santa next week 🎅🏼 thank you very much 👍
Do you still have the written pattern for this set please? I can't find it on your website.
Carmen A I was looking as well and didn’t see it
Look above, highlighted in BLUE, is her site. Click, then scroll down to the bottom right:) Hope that helps
Hi there, I am not finding your written pattern for this project. Do I need to download something to be able to find the written pattern. Thanks for your help. Julee
Not sure why you can't find it. It's on my website in a PDF format to make it look nicer, so as long as your phone or desktop can read those types of files, there shouldn't be any issues.
Hi i would like to know What type of yarn do you use?
Hi, sorry to trouble you again, how many row did you do for cocoon. Thank y

Hello ms.naztazia..what kind of yarn that white yarn?
The white fuzzy yarn is "Bernat Pipsqueak." You can see it at 0:29 in the video.
I attempted it but my hat came out too big I think I was adding stitches by mistake
My second one came out way too big (I think I was on automatic and didn't stop when I needed to). I think it also depends on your tension and you could adjust the instructions by eliminating an increase row and start the single double crochet rows earlier. If you added too many stitches in one row the triangle shape would flare out too much and not a smooth transition.
its my first time following one of your how to videos, ill be looking for more thx
Muito obrigada! O tutorial completo está no meu canal do RUclips pesquisando por "Naztazia Smock Stitch"
Hello darling, congratulations on your beautiful work. I'm from Brazil, I want to know if you can tell me the size (width and height) of the pieces.
And if I find that written prescription.
Thank you
Thanks for the tutorial is very easy. your instructions is very clearly.
Isnt #4 weight yarn a little itchy for a baby? Can i use chenille yarn or will it make baby too warm
#4 yarn is the thickness of the yarn, not the fiber content. Fiber content is what makes things itchy to some people (like sheep wool) or not itchy (like cotton and bamboo yarn). Feel free to use anything that is a medium-weight yarn equivalent.
@@naztazia sorry beginner here
WOW just realized you are a musician (sorry if I spelled it wrong) too!!!
Whag is the thoe of the white yarn
Thank you Ms. Naztazia for this video and written pattern in your link..I admire your work 😍 Thank you for sharing your work ..😘 I'm From Philippines 👋

Hello, I have a question, when you chain and then crochet all the way up is there a way to make that initial (bottom) line more stretchie? Mine at the bottom becomes too tight : (
Hi! I'm not completely sure what you are referring to - maybe send me a photo?
this one just a general question, every time when I start with a chain and crochet up (for example a headband) then further crocheting is more stretchy but the first line where I started from the chain is very tight, I was wonder if you could help me to figure out how to make first line stretchier.
You could use a bigger hook for your chain stich.

Lindo que pena que nao e. Em portugues
I see you used red heart with love, what about caron simply soft?
Hello! Feel free to use any yarn you wish - however I found the Red Heart with Love allows the hat and cocoon to hold its shape the best.
Nice, clear instructions. Thank you!🧑🏼🎄
Glad it was helpful!
That little baby so adorable 👶
I love this cap!! My question is at the risk of sounding stupid. How do you get the top of the hat to stay folded down?
The hat will flop down in any direction (sometimes the back, side, front). In the photo, the baby is sleeping, so I just kind of draped it over towards the front to be able to see the pom pom and such.
@@naztazia Thank you do very much! I was honored to be asked to make these caps for the precious babies in the hospital at Akrons Children's Hospital in Boardman, Ohio. I want to make sure they are perfect!
that s great of you to share so many works of yours in detailed.. love this. Will try out for sure. thanks a million..
