Thank you, Julie, for this uplifting message. I, too, am someone who has followed you for a long time. As a retired person, I have never felt I needed to rationalize why I spend so much time (and money) on paper crafting. When anyone says to me how depressing they find social distancing, I recommend crafting...it is good to have "something" to show for one's time. However, as you know, it is totally therapeutic! That's my theory, and I'm stickin' to it!
Everyone expresses their creativity in different ways. My sister is an awesome cook and she never uses a recipe; she just makes it up as she goes along. A friend is a whiz at organizing and she really, really enjoys the time she spends organizing closets, offices, etc. Another friend loves decorating her home and helps with her friends homes as well. It drives me crazy when people tell me that they are not creative...they ARE creative, just not in the traditional sense.
When I retired, I knew I was going to need a creative hobby. I decided to make greeting cards. I keep my schedule on a spreadsheet (yes, I'm THAT person) and every Friday is card-making day. Sometimes, if I finish my scheduled tasks on other days, the rest of that day becomes card-making day, too!
I swear, Julie, I think you’re aging in reverse! I think I first saw you on one of those crafting shows about 10 years ago, and I think you look even younger now. As always, good information and still love your enthusiasm. 😘
This was so refreshing to here. And an unexpected video, that I feel may creatives need to hear. I for one always feel guilty about purchasing my art stuff. Folks aways say..."You're always by art related items..Don't you have enough?"But art is just as necessary for me as breathing. Its essential to my well-being. Thank you so much for helping my spirit to feel validated.
Hey Julie....I'm so appreciative that you made this video because I am one who can attest to the fact that creativity has had a profound uplifting effect on my life both physically and emotionally. I thank you for sharing this self-care fact, Julie!
Just getting started. Can you use the roll feeder for small 12 inch projects instead of using the mat. Have not even made a cut buy confused . all small jobs only everyone uses the mat. ? Im asking you because your the most clear spoken with directions. When i get started i will be taking you classes. Im a heavy equipment operator and this seems pretty delicate to me.lol. thanks so much
Funny, when I'm not creating, I'm crabby, lethargic, confused in thoughts and can't sleep! Now I know it's imperative that I set this time aside for me, even if I'm just playing with my goodies.
Hi Julie , I have a question, my brother in law, is wanting to get my Sister a ScanNcut , but I have a 350, and now I see there selling the 125 DX , is that the same as mine , mine is so easy to work with , she needs it to be easy for her too, can you please tell me what the difference is , thank you , Frenchie ,

I'm very interested in your Scan n Cut Club. I looked on your website and didn't see it. Can you give me the link?
It won't be available until August 15.
