    LS for me. Bought a first gen LS6 rosewood when they were first released. Has only gotten better with age. Extremely well built guitar that has held up perfectly and holds tune for what seems like forever. I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Cheers!

    I just bought a LS6M. Already have a couple of dreads (Fender CD60CSEM, Ovation Celeb) . Wanted to try a smaller body for comfort. Also the LS has a wider nut so wider string spacing. Also the white binding with the black fret markers make seeing them much easier. I am an older (62) beginner and have been for years. The L S is beautiful and sounds great. I thought I would miss the low end of the dreads, but the comfort, string spacing, and visibility of frets have made me the best player I have ever been. Plus I practice more because I love it. Try one you will love it. Hope this helps.

    I just like the fuller sound of the LL better, but it is only a personal preference. Anyone buying this will be very happy with either one.

    Great video, I'm currently looking for my next guitar. You made what was already difficult decision in buying a guitar even harder (but in a good way). Thanks for your hard work!

    Jarvis, I really enjoy your reviews, and very much appreciate your enthusiasm and playing.
    I perceive that the LS is more articulate in the higher frequencies than the LL, which is a “boomier” instrument. I just bought the LS-TA, and I think it is a great value for the money when compared to the major manufacturers. It has mid to high end frequency articulation, and a good balance of bottom end support when played. Greeting from Pennsylvania!

      @radoncimmobilizer 2 года назад +2

      Also want to mention, I play the Martin Special 16 Rosewood, and Martin D-18; the LS-TA guitar is in the same league for quality build and sound.

    You make it very hard to decide which I like best "cause they both sound great in your hands , the LL a little more bass and
    you have changed my opinion of Yamaha guitars. Thanks for posting and keep them coming.

    The LS sounds amazing for finger picking. The articulation seems better and the bass response is no slouch for an OM size guitar. Really sweet sounding.

    I got a Yamaha LL16D and it sound like heaven. I'm gonna buy me an Ls too. This is the best buy for that price. I also think it sound better than a Martin D28. I really like the sound of the Yamaha better. The only change I've done is that I've swapped the pickup for the L. R. Baggs Lyric pickup and change the nut and bridge to bone. Check out Driftwood Guitars review on the Yamaha LL16D. The Yamaha guitars are really awsome!

    I have one...and other Yamaha's....I'm done with Yamaha...their customer service has changed....they suck now. Used to be great....you'll be fine with simple stupid stuff....give them a real question and they'll blow you off.
    If you gig with it their stupid piezio pickup will drive you crazy.....when plugged in it's like an ice pick...super trebly. You'll have to have an EQ for sure and it still will be trebly.
