    I think we should try for Kimmich and Ederson/Ricci. Kimmich can be used to fix both Walker situation and Rodri situation until Ederson/Ricci is ready. We need a box to box versatile young player who will get the job done but will also be happy sitting on the bench when Rodri returns. We can also consider Joao Neves or Zaire Emery or Pavlovic.

    • @idk-dz3fo
      @idk-dz3fo 11 дней назад

      We need physicality more than we need calmness (a mix of the two would be great). Also you have to take into account (as seen in the video) that he is used to recieving FAR less passes and FAR less progressive passes than Guimaraes and Rodri, he also plays in spain where teams put way less pressure on midfielders and opposition in general. So that's why he is very rarely disposessed, but that calmness could easily crumble under the pressure prem teams put on him and the volume of passes received per 90 doubling. He isnt the right build for the premier league imo, and he would need to adjust to a new foreign country which could also result in bad form in his early days. This is problematic since we are mostly looking for a short term solution . Imo both Guimaraes and Ederson are better options.

    Don't get drawn in too much by stats, both Chelsea and Villa only have one less errors leading to shots against them, and Arsenal only two. The point being these are not clubs struggling down at the bottom of the league. I'm not saying there are not issues, but some stats can be misleading.

    Johnny, as an engineer you know a system problem requires a systematic solution. I think City did not pull the trigger in the summer on new players and will not do so beyond some temporary band aids - not the big money but the lower key no name buys that will disappoint every City fan, simply because we need to fix the system THEN figure out the players we need to plug the holes. It does not matter which players we get they will need at least 1 season to integrate into the system. And Pep will.continue to play his old guard anyway. Pep staying is both a blessing and a curse. No single player is fixing this buddy. We need to go back to the system drawing board and reassess our shape, etc. 4 yrs with the same system that a long ball can collapse. It was only a matter of time.

      You don't think the chronic injury list has had anything to do with the team's form? City haven't made a standout signing since the PL told the whole world about their jumped up investigation, effectively hamstringing the club in the transfer market years before a charge, let alone a verdict has been reached. Agents must be telling their players to hang fire on signing for City until a verdict is reached which may carry on till 2026. Ridiculous.

    • @KieranMohammed
      @KieranMohammed 10 дней назад +1

      @martinmurphy9679 on the surface sure. But rodri was complaining about overwork before his injury. There are lots of GLOBAL talent that will come to City . I think City are the ones who pumped the brakes. And Pep's late decision may have also helped to stall the succession planning. City even admitted they missed the timing on releasing Walker. But that list had to be longer than Walker. That's why they padded their cash by selling off the academy players. But City stalled this transition, not 115 or anything external imo.
