Man utd fan here, and I completely agree. I don't want to see Everton relegated they bring a lot to the premier league. I had the same feeling for Aston Villa when they went down.
I dont deny Mourinho has been a tremendous manager but there is a belief now and stats back it up, that his best days are now in long gone. I don't think clubs looking at building something for the future should be looking at these types of appointments tbh. Trouble with Jose most places he goes he ends up leaving a bit of a trainwreck behind and causing a storm.

Has to be Carsley. Didn’t think much of him as a player, but he did put a shift in. He seems to have a good footballing brain, apparently playing expansive attacking football, countered by his own personal experience of defensive midfield duties as a player. Balanced. Also proven by his history of recent managerial positions. He obviously comes with the added bonus of having a good working relationship with young English talent. All of the revered managers who have won a lot of trophies did so because of world class players and unlimited budgets before ffp. I would take Jose over dyche any day, but he certainly wouldn’t guarantee trophies.

If this FFP happened back in 2008, Man City wouldn’t have achieved 90% of the trophies they have. It stops “smaller” clubs from ever progressing and competing.
