If one is two hundred feet above the ground with a PG canopy problem, do you have to disable the canopy before throwing the reserve? Obviously this would be a serious problem with little time to accomplish the disabling.
No, you would still throw your reserve first. While the reserve may not be 100% effective as long es your main canopy isn't disabled entirely, it's more important to get the reserve out. It still reduces the sink rate, so only if you've got time, you work on disabling your canopy. In the end, a 50% effective reserve is better than none.
Dang that glider almost opened up but he was pulling on any line he could grab and it tension knotted. You gotta skydive more often. Youll find out how to clear malfunctions easier. But great job dealing with what he had.
Dude, I skydive (VK79) and there is no way to compare an acro paraglider in semi free fall to a parachute. Parachutes are like Tanks, you really can't make things worse once you have a malfunction. With an acro glider one wrong input and it shoots and you get gift wrapped... so no, skydiving will never ever prepare you for this
"It's nothing, just a small cravatte..." :-D :-D :-D
Amaziing and creazy...
Packs forks, spoons and picnic food at 1:08....WUUUPS!
That was crazy. I want a beamer now. lol

This is not a parachute, it's a paraglider, they are really far from each other when it comes to fixing problems.
