**HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT** My silk hair accessories line made specifically for curls, coils & waves is LAUNCHED! Come check it out! bit.ly/curlfriendcollective
Hi Chloe, Thank you for making this video! I'm 58 and still learning how to deal with my curly hair! Keep doing these product review type videos. Really help me! Thank you again, Andrea.
The EVA NYC salt scrub is another good one in the $14 price range that does what you mentioned; it’s salt based and dissolves as you use it. And it smells amazing!
Videos like this are more helpful than you may know. I love that this is a budget friendly video, with the care considered in making sure a product works. I'm crazy frugal but don't like to sacrifice overall value of a product by paying half price for something with similar claims that is a horrible knock off. I love the you had products for different curl types or explained how it could still work for others by using less. Very well covered, broken down by category all around helpful! *regrets searching for curly hair videos a year ago when i began to recognize my hair actually wanted to curl and was trying to tell me stop playing games with the straightener. My love for fantasy hair also aids into how i have to ride this new mission fortunately I'm not prone to full blown hair destruction with chemicals.
I'm new to the Curly Girl World because I have been fighting my curls all my life. I was really confused about what products to use and I needed more on a budget products. Thank goodness I found this video!! You Rock Big Time!! TY TY TY!!!
Thankyou so so much! Just starting my curly hair journey and I began a few months ago and now I have so much info! You have a new subscriber and now I can’t wait to learn so much more from you Queen xxoo
Loved it! Thank you! I have a thick hair like yours and I'm Brazilian so it's so hard to get used to products in the US but you've been helping me a lot!
I found the Hairitage dry shampoo to be way too strong of a scent that my parents actually thought I put on perfume. But the NYMs Dry Shampoo is my favorite one I’ve tried so far!
Thank so much for all of that info !! You put a ton of work into that for us. I have never tried the heritage products. So I will be trying those and the Maui moisture 🤩
I would like to know what you think of Shea Moisture line. I feel like I’ve tried everything for my curls but haven’t found what’s best for them yet. I keep seeing stuff about Shea Moisture and I’m curious to know your opinion.
Curlsmith recently expanded their travel size range, which is SUCH an awesome thing that I wish they had done sooner! In addition to the 6 travel sizes Chloe mentioned in that kit (which are also sold separately) they also have the weightless air dry cream, hydro style flexi jelly, bond curl rehab salve, and conditioning oil in cream in travel sizes! Just a PSA! Travel sizes are a great way to try new products and I always appreciate when brands offer them!
I'll have to look in to Hairitage products, I have never heard of that brand. I ordered a bunch of different products from the Maui Moisture line last week and I'm waiting on delivery. My current favourite line is Shea Moisture.
Love love these types of videos! You’re giving Lots of suggestions for thick curls and strong hold gel products etc! Thank you thank you thank you! Now I don’t have to spend a ton of $$ trying a lot of different products!
Thank you so much 😊 this helped me a lot. Please keep sharing, I was looking for products that weren’t as expensive for my fine curls that frizz a lot in this Florida humidity! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Some of faves under $10: shampoos: Any Maui (I don’t like their conditioners just bc they’re so difficult to squeeze out of the bottle). Suave Professionals (green bottle) Rosemary & Mint is a clarifying shampoo and it is a dupe of an Aveda shampoo. Cleans well but it’s gentle. Conditioner: Pantene’s 3 Minute Miracle Daily Moisture (it’s a gold tube but not the line made for African textures) I also love the Garnier Fructis Hair treats! I order the Banana 🍌 scent from Amazon 💗
Great video....I love the Verb Ghost Oil.....It is so worth the price and the bottle I have has lasted forever.....I have not tried any of the Heritage products yet.....I think I might want to try the Co-Wash. Thanks so much!!!!!
I am excited to try the masks/deep conditioners. I have not done a treatment for ever. Also the Maui moisture line for thin hair for my mama. She's been jelly of my curls since I started using curl smith and following your finger coil technique at the beginning of this month.
NYM’s scalp scrub is under $10! I use it often. Also, can we get a favorite Indie Brands video? I would love to support some small businesses in the wake of so many closing.
I love this video I keep coming back to it to get some of these hair products 😅 but please can you do another maybe trying brands like Hask curls, love beauty and planet and John Frieda for curly hair please thank you so much!!!
Solid review of affordable products yayy! I already use hairitage products and want to try the new ones. I love Maui Moisture so want Rory the new ones and the Not Your Mother's new products especially the Scalp refresh. Such valuable information and coupon codes thank you!!😊🙂👍🏾🙌🏽👍🏾🙌🏽
Adore you and so helpful. In the US, NY. You are so helping my curls. I bought the curlsmith line with protein from you and loving my hair again. Can't wait to try some of these. Loving curlsmith like I said. Need some washing products. Your videos are super helpful. And would also love a mid range in same style. Love your hair and color of it. So pretty 😍🦋. I use ghost oil and it is phenomenal. I have finer texture curls and I am 44. If that helps anyone. I also have had full size bottle for forever. Highly recommend! Love verb too. The ghost shampoo and conditioner is phenomenal too. And want to try maui line with flaxseed and sky organics line.
I have high density but fine hair so I’m always lost when it comes to products because I don’t want to overwhelm my fine strands but my dense hair get frizzed out easily 🙄
The Verb Ghost oil and the Frizz ease serum are both great for my hair, just in different conditions. We should all share our favorite products here on the thread.
@@angiect3791 I have been hearing so much about the ghost oil, I have been using the Quai hair oil and it makes my hair so nice and shiny. Just like styling product wise I’m so lost and I don’t want to have to keep buying so many products just to be disappointed lol
I'm going to try a few more of the heritage line, I already enjoy a lot of their products. And interested in the new NYM scalp refresher. One day when my product collection is way down I will try Curlsmith, but I have to much already.
Since finding your videos... I'm addicted. I'm going to try your suggestions. All hard hold because the frizz is no joke. I've used Aussie freeze for YEARS but wanted to change because a friend said recently that he thought my curl was gonna poke his eye out! 🤣 I've learned so much from you already. One question...I've looked through your videos and don't see anything from Shea Moisture. Do you not like it? Thanks for all you do from another Wisconsinite ❤
The only Maui product that works for me is the Awapuhi conditioner. And I just love it! I bought the flaxseed line with hopes it would work, but it makes my hair feel very stripped.
Thanks for the video Chloe. I have also enjoyed the Verb products. Have you tried the All About Curls line from Sally’s? It’s at your $10 price point for each product.
I have fine hair , I’m a blonde and I’m a product junky ! Lol I have both high end and drugstore products . It changes every wash day . You mentioned a few products I’ve titres but I must be honest my favourite products hands down are bouncecurl . I love love love them . I have not found a Volumizer that would work for my fine 3a mostly hair
Very informative content, thank you very much it's very confusing when you go to the drugstore trying to find curly products and wondering if it's really okay for your hair I like the way that you put it for thick curly hair or thin curly hair or into different categories it made it very easy to understand. I'm most excited about trying The heritage line and the Maui line with the one for the thin hair chia seeds I think is what you said was in it so that's why I think I'll start and then the heritage Lane that I wanted to try was the purple shampoo because I have gray hair as I'm 62 so I was wanting to try a purple shampoo do you think this would work because it's light gray . Thank you very much for this video enjoyed it very much
Love the video and these products!! I've definitely had my eye on Maui Moisture. So glad you included so many to choose from... Now excuse me while I go spend all my money on new products!
Maui Moisture and Sky Organics! (and the Imbue creme gel!) I tried Maui about 3 years ago but I didn't know about curl care that much and didn't like it. Now I want to try it, since I've learned so much on how to care for my finer curls. Thank you!
Thank you for this video. I didn’t get to watch last week. The biggest takeaway is learning the role of silicones. I live in Virginia Beach and humidity is now joke. And being coily, I frizz like crazy
Thick, coarse, low/medium porosity, 2C/3A curls, but I’m sensitive to coconut oil. Could you do a best of without coconut video? I know I can’t be the only one out there whose scalp hates coconut oil trying to navigate the world of curl products that is saturated with coconut.
Have you ever tried the Raw Sugar Scalp Scrub? You may like that..around $6 at target. I’ve also heard wonderful things about TPJ’s, but I haven’t tried that one.
If you want a really strong hold gel, try Harry’s for men. It is $6 and is great. Less money because it is not marketed for women. No pink (female) extra price
Chloe.....this was a GREAT video!! You gave so many choices and thankfully mentioned some that I can buy here in Toronto!! Thank you, thank you, Thank you!! Sending hugs from Canada! :-)
I want to try the products in the Maui Moisture line. But, I am also interested in the Verb products. I can’t seem to pick a line and buy it. Your video was great and gave me some things to think about!
I get so conflicted with recommendations I have high density medium to coarse wavy curly hair. So yes I hear you say great for thick hair but because my hair is low porosity I find I do better with the lighter more cleansing products without thick butters since it all just sits on my hair. I feel like I don’t fit in any category
You always have great content, I really enjoy watching your videos 😊. PS. Could you possibly know any website that ships curly hair products internationally , cuz I don't live in America or Canada and I really would love to use a lot of products but can't order them from nowhere 😔
can you do a video on ones that are all-natural and don't have alch or bad ingredients. I've heard a lot of these products are drying or aren't good for long-term hair health. help!
Make sure to share which product you are most excited to try here in the comments, curlfriends! 💕 Thanks for watching and being a part of our curly community! 😘
I have a question about a product mentioned. Kinky Curly custard, do you have video's on how to use it? I have some under my sink and I have been trying to learn how to use it. Is there a good video on how to use it?? I have thin hair around 2b to 2c curl. Thank you
MASSIVE THANK YOU!! This is by FAR the best video for Curly Girls for more affordable products. I am super excited to go & buy the Maui Moisturize Curl Line!! I know it’s at my local store so tomorrow it will be in my bathroom for wash day ❤️
Does any of the verb products have protein in them? For some reason my hair does not like any type of protein it dries it out to where it breaks off and it makes it very hard and stringy. I cant not use much. Thanks love your vid :) 💙

Please do this for mousses!! i need mousse recommendations! i beg you! Please! 🥺
a good drugstore cream gel (with no glycerin) is the herbal essence mango and aloe curl cream (it's advertised as a cream but gives very light hold)
I love hairatage! One of the best drugstore brands! ❤❤
