  • "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by His blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over former sins. It was to show His righteousness at the present time, so that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. " - Romans 3:21-26

    He allows men much freedom in their choices even when it is not in their best interest.

    This is something that can only be searched and understood by the Holy Spirit. The human mind in its highest effort can only fall short and in so doing hear it wrong and twist it to his own destruction. To say that God loves his glory above all things sounds like vanity to the creature but in God placing value on the thing that is most valuable HIS GLORY makes him righteous!! And to pardon man in the very same act is grace and mercy. Our God is Love and apart from Him disclosing himself to a man they don't and cannot know HIM. Every argument is vain. This is without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness!

    He allows and then punishes for it.God does love His children and that is why "The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way" (Psalm 25:9) AND "the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. (Psalm 37:28)
    Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

    Ok. You've just made my point for me. "Christians are divided over. . ." I get so many different perspectives, viewpoints and opinions on the interpretation of "god's word" that it get's to a point to where i don't know who to believe when it comes to an accurate belief in the bible. So, until the christians can somehow come to an agreement on these issues. I'm just gonna try and live life to the fullest and treat others with non-compulsary Love. Peace !!!

    God has blessed the King James Bible to the English speaking world first and for over 400 years this Bible has been instrumental in the conversion of millions. It was and is the Bible of the godly.

    @MrBeautifulba1 You didn't name-call, I was just setting a parameter. Personally, I don't believe in eternal hell. I guess I should repeat that in order to make any of my arguments for predestination, assuming that's the topic that interests you, I will have to refer to the Bible - would you find this convincing ?
    If not, then what should I consider the goal of the debate ?

    Prt 2: I have no problem with certain aspects evolution. The evolution that I claim is closer to speculation than science, is the one that is based on change by purely random selection. The reason is because it lacks the two pillars of modern science, namely, Repeatable experiments that support the theory and a sound mathematical basis which predicts the outcome. For instance, nuclear physics theoretical claim can be seen in experiments and the outcome predicted by mathematical formulae.

    @MrBeautifulba1 these are all fair and rational questions --- which can only be answered by predestination, God's sovereignty and right to do as he pleases.

    So, again, Is the only reason that you serve your god is so that you can avoid eternal torture ?

  • @ZiplineShazam
    @ZiplineShazam 12 лет назад

    I don't remember asking to be born into a world of sin. I also don't remember being asked for this whole sacrificial scenario to be performed for me. I'd rather just not exist at all. I don't want anyone to be tortured for me. That's ridiculous. Also Why can't god just make us all more like Jesus ??

  • @ZiplineShazam
    @ZiplineShazam 11 лет назад

    So, he allows men to alter "his word" ? How is that possible ? Why would your god allow that to happen to his instruction manual when so many souls depend on "his word" to be clear and precise ? If your god loves his children so much why won't he make damn well sure that there is absolutely no room for misinterpretation ??

    • @steveareeno65
      @steveareeno65 6 лет назад

      ZiplineShazam there is nothing in the Bible that says the king James is the only authorized version. I have to respectfully disagree with LA streetpreacher. There are a number of very good translations: NLT, NASB, ESV, NKJV, KJV. I would even say the NIV is ok too, just a tad watered down. If there were only one authorized version it would probably be the original NT manuscripts, which we don't have, and the Hebrew Bible.

  • @ZiplineShazam
    @ZiplineShazam 12 лет назад

    @Dadutta I don't remember name calling. If I did I apologize. The point of the debate is that I want to discover what is true and real. I don't agree with teaching children that a god of love will send them to hell for eternity if they don't adhere to the "correct" version of the bible. This belief is damaging in my opinion.

  • @Dadutta
    @Dadutta 12 лет назад

    @MrBeautifulba1 the exact opposite - God is the one who predesitnes everything. In the free will scenario, man is the deified creation which causes good and evil and creates by its power - in the predestination scenario, God is fully sovereign, doing everything.

  • @Dadutta
    @Dadutta 12 лет назад

    @MrBeautifulba1 this video is for bible-believers; what you're doing spamming this page is beyond me. show some decency.

  • @AerisVera7
    @AerisVera7 12 лет назад

    I think that free-will is completely absent just not without external influences. We are influenced every day but there is some sense of consent to those wants. @Mr.Beautifulba1 If you find the Truth but still die, there was no real reason to find. Your plight would be the same as those who are ignorant. I believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and that He is just. His integrity is something that I value as evidence for His truth.

  • @Dadutta
    @Dadutta 12 лет назад

    @MrBeautifulba1 Ok I will enter into a discussion with you if you are indeed honest and refrain from name-calling. So I can direct you to an article answering these questions better than myself, or I can take a stab at something specifc. The thing is, I doesn't appear you're a bible-believers, though perhaps I'm mistaken --- so if I were to prove predestination, or prove evidence, it would have to be from the bible (which, if you don't believe in it, makes me wonder what is goal of the debate)

  • @LAStreetPreacher
    @LAStreetPreacher 11 лет назад

    You said, "I don't believe in the authority of the bible." So you believe in your own autonomous authority to stand in judgment upon the bible but if you are a judge then you are no longer a doer of the word and if not a doer then a despiser and hater of God and His word. Hear the word of the Lord: "But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death." Proverbs 8:36

  • @ZiplineShazam
    @ZiplineShazam 12 лет назад

    @Dadutta So then, "god" predestined you to have to deal with these issues on a format known as youtube. These videos posted on youtube are for anyone to watch and comment upon. I don't understand why you would have a problem with this, since your "god" predestined you to be apart of these conversations."God" obviously wants you to be apart of this right ? Why is "god" making you read these words ? Is it your choice or "his" ?

  • @ZiplineShazam
    @ZiplineShazam 11 лет назад

    "He allows and then punishes for it." ???? That is insane. "Prayer: Because god already knows what you want, He just wants to hear you beg for it." Maybe if your god would actually answer prayer we wouldn't have to have these silly debates.

  • @LAStreetPreacher
    @LAStreetPreacher 11 лет назад

    Christians are divided over the nature of hell. I do not necessarily see an eternal torture or torment because that would mean the soul is immortal and I do not find that in the Bible. The soul that sins shall die and also Psalm 37:20 speaks more of the wicked perishing by being consumed as the fat of lambs into smoke.God is just and annihilation might well serve for judgment. God is love and mercy and doesn't desire to see any tormented but for a time until they are cast into the Lake of fire.

    @Dadutta If free will is an illusion then that means that your "god" is the one who is causing me to type the following words that you now have NO CHOICE but to read. "god" and belief are only projections of our own mind. The "gods" that we follow are created by our hopes and fears, by our desire for inward security and reassurance: With the worship of authority there comes submission to an illusion. The "god" of the bible is that illusion. To find "god" you must drop your concept of "god".

  • @Dadutta

    Yes, look up God’s Sovereignty and the Human Will by Arthur W. Pink on Google. If you desire the truth then study the Bible because it testifies of Jesus who is the Way, the Truth & the Life (John 14:6) Your real problem is that you are a sinner who has broken God's law...all ten commandments and so God must cast you into hell on Judgment Day unless you repent and believe (obey) the gospel. God does answer prayer "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." James 5:16

  • @ZiplineShazam
    @ZiplineShazam 11 лет назад

    So, the only reason that you serve your god is because you're afraid of going to hell ? That's compulsory love. It's like you're pretending to love him just in order to avoid eternal torture. That is not a real relationship based on mutual understanding. Only a narcissist would arrange such an agreement. "Love Me or Burn." Can you not see that only men could create such a monstrosity of a belief system? A belief used to scare children into not leaving the "faith."

    • @steveareeno65
      @steveareeno65 6 лет назад

      ZiplineShazam the looming threat of hell is only small a part of it and is little motivation for most people. I personally don't know one Christian who became one because they were scared of going to hell, at least no one has said that to me. Most people who reach out to God through Christ do so either because they have come to the end of their rope or, in some way, they catch a momentary glimpse of the glory of God and it suddenly makes sense to them.

  • @ZiplineShazam
    @ZiplineShazam 12 лет назад

    @Dadutta I don't believe in the authority of the bible. I would suggest youtubing Christopher Hitchens: Christianity is immoral. That would explain my point much better than I can right now. I do have to go but would like to continue this later. The goal of the debate is to find the truth. Peace.

  • @LAStreetPreacher
    @LAStreetPreacher 11 лет назад

    You are repeating the same old stuff you post everywhere else. Grow up and be sincere or stop wasting people's time. If you are really seeking the truth then do it by reading the Bible. If not then you lie by pretending to be what you are not, namely, a seeker of truth. That would make you a hypocrite. Repent!
