    Thank you for the explanation madam. I have one question, if a complex has two different strengths of ligands, one is strong and another one is weak field ligand, how to calculate the cfse? For example [cr(NH3)5cl]^2+ .

    Aapne jaise video mai btaya k weak field aur strong field mai d1, d2, d3, d8 , d9, d10...ki CFSC same hi hoge....lakin strong field mai phir in k sath pairing energy add hogi k nhi hogi ??

      Pairing energy hum tab add karte hain jab ligand field me isotropic field se extra or naya pair ban jaye.

      Ans of your question is already explained in the lecture,
      High spin complex means electrons are filled as per three principals hinds rule etc. And here pairing energy > splitting energy gap. That's why pairing energy is not applicable here.

      Both are slightly different
      Crystal field splitting is energy difference between two sets of d orbitals (eg and t2g) after splitting.
