Je ne suis pas convaincu. L’effet dépend des transcriptions et du piano utilisé. D’autre part, Cortot exagère le rubato. Kempff est un très grand pianiste, surtout dans Beethoven.
Cortot is more chopinesque, Kempff is more classic stile. Both genius in yours interpretations.
Not the cage match I was expecting but interesting. Big difference in playing. Maybe it's Pleyel destroys Steinway?)
Surely the pleyel must have had an exquisite tone, but you can still tell that Kempf is just constantly banging on the keys. Pleyel or not, its always going to sound bad that way.

i can guarantee it's better than kempff, which isn't hard to do.
