A damp towel under the cutting board will keep it stable. A larger sharpened knife will make cutting easier. Sharper knife can reduce risk of accidents. Larger knife can make for more stability in cutting. I never knew any of this until older age when someone gave me 3 very good knives. One for paring, one serrated for breads and one larger knife for chopping. They made all the difference. Later on I got a better cutting board and that helped as well but any board that's stable will do.

I want to send you a proper chopping knife! That steak knife is just not made for all that, I think you’d have a much easier time with a knife made for slicing and chopping instead of sawing
Wonderfully thrifty meal. Sorry your utilities are going up. I'd heard about that on another channel. Don't like what they're doing to the people at all. I decided I was going to do 2 things in 2025. 1) Lose weight, as I gained a bit in 2024.😬 For the first time in my life I can 'pinch and inch'! 😲 2) Become even more frugal and buy precious metals with the money I save. I did good in 2024 but I could do even better. This year I bought everything I thought I'd need in the future but now I'm set. Have a joyous New Year, my friend. 🎉🎆
