There is a lot of compilations with Kirk Hammet, Dave Mustaine, Jason or Cliff. But to my surprise I didn’t find any of James Hetfield when I searched for: ”Metallica riffs written by James Hetfield”. So here it is 🤘
It only showed results with everyone else that has ever been in Metallica. But not JAMES HETFIELD himself? 😏 (At least not for me)
Anyway, this is only some of James guitar stuff, and only from 3 albums. He has written a lot more then this! Let me know if any of it is not his stuff. (But most of it is on James riff tapes!)

The Shortest Straw demo sounds like Pantera 💀
Pretty sure the demo was tuned to C# standard so yeah lol (could be wrong)

That album was out way before Pantera, Pantera use to attend Metallica shows, when they were a glam band

James is the riff master brother
not ALL of them lol
Kinda the opposite man, Hetfield IS a downpicking god, and the best frontman, but Lars is the mastermind, and main responsible for pretty much every song arrangement in 'tallica.
Kirk wrote many of their iconic riffs too but gets overshadowed cause of the down picking god Hetfield it kinda blew my mind finding out that Kirk wrote some amazing riffs

Maybe, but now I checked with the app ”Moises” and it says ”D”!? It sounds more downtuned, but this app just never got it it wrong for me before. And I have no instrument now so I can check for sure.
