I've been fooking forward to the campaign and was pretty excited about it... until I saw the prices. Which fall into silly territory imo. A full digital(!) warband, so the warband and the bundle, costed more than GW's physical starter sets for Kill Team and WH: Underworlds locally. And the pledge tiers weren't great either for people wanting the STLs only - you'd either have to buy the physical book, which was priced ok (but with ridiculous shipping cost considering they ship from UK) or pay $5 for just the priviledge of being able to buy anything elste through add-ons. Both me and my group have ended up losing the previous enthusiasm for the game and are waiting for 3rd party minis with reasonable prices, hopefully. Tbh, if your prices make GW's ones look good in comparison, something went wrong
STLs are a weird one, individually they seem ok, (4 quid for a man sized model for example) some of the bundles DEFFO seem pricey though, we did a vid on that.
The prices on the physical and STL's threw me, Its a lot of money for a small handful of minis, Not seeing the value in the STL's as you will rarely if ever need to print more than one of each mini, The value just isnt there for me
I thought too it was over priced. For something that was STL files being the same price as buying the physical models from GW was just insane. If they warband had included all the faction models it would have been okay. Just for a small warband insane. The book was also pretty expensive when you included the insane shipping costs. It goes to show people that whine about the GW prices have zero clue about hell well of people in this hobby are.
I was gonna get one of the 40K Battleforces this week but saw they jacked the price AGAIN to £150 RRP so thought sod that and upped my TC pledge instead to include the Trench Pilgrims STLs. I still think they're a little dear for Kickstarter STLs and maybe they should have released the weapon upgrades as a free bonus to backers, but then I think a lot of folk will end up buying one warband each then printing them for each other to fill out their collections. There's also already some pretty good proxies made by community members on cults. Another thing with the Facebook community - the devs frequently post updates on their and interact directly with community members a LOT, which I think goes a long way.
@@GrumpyGrognardGaming The Knights one I wanted was more of a sidegrade - what people neglected to mention is while the Canis Rex Sprues were missing, the Armigers came with twice as many weapon options as the last Knights battleforce did. But even then leaving out the carapace/gauntlet sprue was total bullshit.

Found out about this last week and pulled the trigger on both Iron Wall physical mini packs. Have a bunch of Minotaurs from Conquest and debating whether I want to get freaky and convert one.
To be fair the video was fine after that, too. "Wokeness" in itself is fine, it's the virtue signalling and fanatical bullshit that it drags with it that's rubbish. GW are fantastic at virtue signalling; perfectly happy to sacrifice the quality of their work to appeal to a small demographic that I'm fairly certain doesn't contribute much to their bottom line at all. Care in point: the new Verminslayer book for Gotrek and Felix...Felix got bumped off the cover for a character who isn't in the title just to get a few diversity points. The Expanse is diversity done very well and GW could learn from that...but then GW seem to think that being seen to be doing is better than actually doing it properly and with finesse.
Given that 'Wokeness' in the Discord was a BIG talking point about the campaign i think it's fair to broach the subject. It was also covered in my interviews with Tuomas.
@@GrumpyGrognardGaming Considering they banned people for being Roman Catholics / Christians, asking questions about the lore and its logic, how other cultures would be interacting in the setting, questioning portraying Christians as being evil while celebrating the Daemons and Sultanate as good, and for having "bad vibes" much less one of the devs is from the 28Mag group that engaged in that behavior. The devs supported their actions and refused to investigate. The subject should be broached as they cleaned it up from public view. "Shut up about wokeness" Take your own advice as this is not the totalitarian server where radical Left 28Mag can silence people. He and everyone else is free to speak as they see fit.
Hope to see more Trench Crusade vids from you, cheers!
For sure!

I love the artwork in the Lore Primer and it is very inspiring
NGL, i almost wish they'd done a separate art book. But i get their reasons.

Yeah, i couldn't believe they raised the Battleforce prices again! They already didn't look great at the old prices.

Its because of the awesome early interviews!!!

Get freaky! I love the creativity i've seen from the community so far!
Shut up about wokeness like it’s a bad word. Video was fine till you did that.
