    You could also use fiberglass and fiberglass resin to repair it. It's hardens and is 100% waterproof. Home Depot sells it as a bathtub repair kit.

    Epoxy resin with fiberglass, just like how boats are constructed will work perfectly

    If you use salt, you might be able to avoid using a thermostat altogether, maybe 28f freezing point.

    Flex seal smells like it will give you cancer
    I used this stuff to make a small water feature in my yard, i put it over type s mortar that I formed into a small pond, it has been holding up for about 3 years now, but the smell was god awful and made me sick for days

    As a refrigeration "super tech" I can say your gonna burn that compressor so much faster which means instead of lasting 7 to 8 years it will only last 2 years tops if even that long just bc that's a lot more btu of load on it.

    Do you turn off the deep freezer when using it? Just in case something electrical doesn't mess up while you're in water ?

  • @merg2928

    you should redo the whole inside of that with a urethane and fabric meeting polyester. Tietex fabric and create a whole new liner inside of it. It’ll never fail..

    What benefits have you felt with the cold plunges

    • @BreakItYourself
      @BreakItYourself  Год назад +3

      Honestly not much other than alertness after for an hour or two. It totally negates the need for caffeine in the morning for me. Other than that I haven't noticed much. I do enjoy it tho, so that keeps me going. The feeling of getting out after a few minutes is second to none lol

      Ur not feeling all the benefits cause ur not staying in for at least 15 mins..its amazing for soreness and pain cause it cuts down on inflammation...makes u feel alive and wakes u up and gives u a 250 % dopemine hit that last a few hours...

      I’m 1 year, and 8 months into my daily cold plunges, and have seen an immense improvement in inflammation levels, and arthritis issues. Waking up less stiff daily, and more alert! Recovery seems to have improved greatly, and I get a more restful night of sleep now. Also have seen a major improvement in my metabolism!

    How did the flex seal hold up??

    • @BreakItYourself
      @BreakItYourself  Год назад +1

      Working on an update short right now. The flex seal has done very well BUT I should’ve sanded with rough sandpaper first to give the flex seal something to grab onto. I did email flex seal and they seem to think their product is safe for a cold plunge. The biggest down side is that I’m now looking into keeping my water clean and a lot of people use ozone generators and ozone eats rubber. So we’ll see how the flex seal holds up to ozone haha
