Here's my updated video. To say a learned a lot since this short would be a massive understatement: ruclips.net/video/57l8T3fLW8s/видео.html
Link doesn't work
You could also use fiberglass and fiberglass resin to repair it. It's hardens and is 100% waterproof. Home Depot sells it as a bathtub repair kit.
Epoxy resin with fiberglass, just like how boats are constructed will work perfectly
That flex seal will be just fine brotha that shit is bullet proof
Wow thanx for sharing this !!!
Looks good…only concern is water filtration or lack thereof…
If you use salt, you might be able to avoid using a thermostat altogether, maybe 28f freezing point.
Flex seal smells like it will give you cancer
I used this stuff to make a small water feature in my yard, i put it over type s mortar that I formed into a small pond, it has been holding up for about 3 years now, but the smell was god awful and made me sick for days
As a refrigeration "super tech" I can say your gonna burn that compressor so much faster which means instead of lasting 7 to 8 years it will only last 2 years tops if even that long just bc that's a lot more btu of load on it.
Flex seal is awesome!!!
Unfortunately it didn't last. I ended up stripping it out and going with pond shield epoxy.
That’s a great idea 💡
Do you turn off the deep freezer when using it? Just in case something electrical doesn't mess up while you're in water ?
Sure do. Every single time.
you should redo the whole inside of that with a urethane and fabric meeting polyester. Tietex fabric and create a whole new liner inside of it. It’ll never fail..
This is cool! I’m in New Orleans and tryna figure this thing out. Where’d you get the lock?? Got 5 kiddos!
Can the lid open from the inside if it was closed on someone? I get the key locking kids out part, but can it become a coffin if someone shuts it when you are in there?
What benefits have you felt with the cold plunges
Honestly not much other than alertness after for an hour or two. It totally negates the need for caffeine in the morning for me. Other than that I haven't noticed much. I do enjoy it tho, so that keeps me going. The feeling of getting out after a few minutes is second to none lol
Ur not feeling all the benefits cause ur not staying in for at least 15 mins..its amazing for soreness and pain cause it cuts down on inflammation...makes u feel alive and wakes u up and gives u a 250 % dopemine hit that last a few hours...
I’m 1 year, and 8 months into my daily cold plunges, and have seen an immense improvement in inflammation levels, and arthritis issues. Waking up less stiff daily, and more alert! Recovery seems to have improved greatly, and I get a more restful night of sleep now. Also have seen a major improvement in my metabolism!
I have one . I live in Michigan if I keep it in my garage will it freeze??
Why the lock?
How does the ink bird control the water tenp?
It turns the freezer on and off to maintain a temperature
How often do you replace the water? Every use or after multiple uses?
I haven't changed the water after getting an ozone generator and filter in 7 months.
Could you send the one you used?
How do you drain it?
Same way you drain fishtanks
Probably siphon the water out or used a small pump . Or just dumped it over
Hey just an FYI I think you get maximum benefit from cold plunges if you make sure to dunk your whole head under the water even briefly. Not an expert though just what I thought I read
Yeah I've been doing that after getting in but ran out of space to add in that clip.
Yeah I've been doing that after getting in but ran out of space to add in that clip.
So how’s the flex seal holding up?
how many litres is this freezer?
How big was this freezer?
How did you go about tying in the thermostat?
How much You like For this Freezer Bro?
Show me that size freezer for $50 and how much was the delivery, u showed every item price on Amazon page except the main item. I call bs on it, maybe you got it at the local garage sale or flee market, but still doubt it was $50 and still working.
Got it off FB marketplace. They wanted $150 but the enamel was flaking off the bottom. We haggled a bit and maybe I got lucky.
@@BreakItYourselfsorry, my mistake, I thought I heard Amazon marketplace, which is also a thing 😬 Thanks for the video by the way 🤙🏼
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I got my deep freezer for free. Sometimes you just get lucky😂
@@roydutra975 doesn't hurt to ask. My theory is that a lot of people list their older deep freezers just to get someone to take them away.
What size is this freezer?
14 cubic ft
@@BreakItYourselfSo hard to find a 14 on Facebook. New going for like $500.
Do you still have that hooked up to make its own ice or cool itself so you're not making so much ice each time ?
What is the brand/model of freezer? Looked at lots of models but worried about width for shoulders (guess it’s the depth on dimensions though).
I have the Frigidaire 14.8 cubic ft model. It’s perfect for me, I’m 6’1 240lbs w/wide shoulders.
It’s also lined with a hard plastic, so there’s no metal that you have to worry about and also has a nice step built into the unit.
@@HatcherSeanthat’s $1300 on Amazon
Why do you need a lock?
to keep little ones from falling in
dope
Algae cesspool
Thought about these, and heard a resounding no from the wife.
Haha! You'll have to come try mine
@@BreakItYourself I may be too chicken, even though I wanted to set one up.
Don’t let you wife rule your life. You’ve got to wear the pants in the relationship
@@michaelmcboomboom7473 That's not what Jan said
What a bitch… asking permission from the wife…
Update: My wife also said No to the Ice Plunge Deep Freezer….
How did the flex seal hold up??
Working on an update short right now. The flex seal has done very well BUT I should’ve sanded with rough sandpaper first to give the flex seal something to grab onto. I did email flex seal and they seem to think their product is safe for a cold plunge. The biggest down side is that I’m now looking into keeping my water clean and a lot of people use ozone generators and ozone eats rubber. So we’ll see how the flex seal holds up to ozone haha
@@BreakItYourself I'm going to build a filter system using a marine builge pump
@@BreakItYourself definitely going the flex seal route
Got one with rust issues
Longer video explaining everything please
Working on it. Stay tuned.
Andrew Santino?
Fill up your bath tub with water and ice cubes...
Every time? That would be a pain
Remove the lid. it's just waiting to fall on your head, knock you out, and you're locked from the inside.
And how exactly would he be locked in, when there’s no latch?
What litre size is your freezer?
Bathing in Flex Seal water. Sounds healthy. 🤦
Buddy just leave er outside in the winter there
You ever think about all the chemicals and toxins your body is absorbing with the "Flex Seal"?.. Seems counter intuitive
Flex seal is inert, the chemical reaction is over when it dries. Take a chemistry class one day, you'll be amazed
Id be more worried about getting electrocuted
yuck
RMYT
I have a 55 degree ocean nearby.
Would you recommend others stick with a bigger UV system than the one you linked, or is ozone a must for these builds?
How do you drain it?
