The fact that this was released as a catchy, dance-y pop song just proves that the artists who get signed by these big labels r often hiding the real art….. when you listen to the words, the song should be sung like this.
It was released with that version, but the acoustic version we're hearing here is actually the first track on that album. So I don't think his real art was necessarily hidden, though I agree that big labels do pressure artists a lot to be radio-friendly.
