I get what you mean though. I'm a musician too and of course it'd be a dream come true if some day many people would love my art. But as a huge MGMT-fan it's always funny how some of my biggest idols sort of been there, done that and went "yeah no that sucks". Then again without those mainstream successes they wouldn't be able to create as freely as they can now so I think it did work out at the end.

When I worked at the always super serious, top secret clearance required, no electronic devices allowed State Dept warehouse, me and my friend CJ were 2 of only 7 black folks on a 42 person team there. After the work was finished at 1:30p we used to blast this song so loud throughout the whole warehouse to the point where the whole team would come to our section and we'd be on the warehouse floor dancing and the big boss who ran the entire facility didn't care as long as the work was finished. 90% of the white folks thought we were drugged out weirdos but we kept on doing it EVERYDAY!!!
