Hey crew if you find this video useful why not share it with a friend so yis can learn together and you will be visited by the magic gnomes of never ending tyre rubber.
Changed my grip and stance today after watching your videos. I used to get sever arm pump and although this felt a bit strange today I had no arm pump at all. Cheers mate awesome channel
Thanks dude I wish I seen this earlier, I broke my thumb trying to copy my mountain bike lever positions, put way too much pressure on my thumb and snap on a stack..
"No death grip" I need to master this first lol. Joking aside I find this helpful, when I stand I feel like I'll fly over the top if I apply too much brake, so will try to improve this
Multiple camera angles.... fancy, production level is going up. 👍 Keep this stuff up broseph. I’m gonna go out and practice your technique today. I’ve been focusing on my stance for the last few months, weight distribution, body and foot position while both standing and sitting. Trying to get it so I hardly feel any pull through my chest when standing and accelerating. Trying to find that neutral position where my weight rolls as a part of the DR rather on top of the DR. If that makes sense...😏
Cheers Badger, we might nail this video flappery down yet :) You can practice this in the shed too just to get the feel for the position. Enjoy the ride!
Awesome video Skids - very well done, Like Badger said. Always trying to improve. Thanks so much for all that you do. It really helps the Dual Sport Community !!!!! Cheers !!!
Awesome cue with the chest "feeling", very easy to understand. Still wondering how you can ride that bush pig so smooth. Thank you for another useful videos!
Forma Terra Evo. Good weight and comfy, Love the proper stitched sole and they are right on the border line of having enough protection and support, although the only other Adv boot with more is the Sidi. Main con is the inside liner has come loose and locks my foot in when removing the boot
I have some dririder d30 and I would say good duel purpose boot but not for adventure riding. Boots are pretty beaten up after a year or so. So hence the question about your boots. Thanks I'll take a look at them I was set to get some MX boots and keep the dririders as commuter boots
@@SKIDSnSTUFF Well, not some much from a "supporting the weight" standpoint, but more of an issue of having to really extend the wrists to cover the controls making an awkward angle. Not that I'm really in any place to make an argument here. Your skills are lightyears beyond mine. Just trying to learn and ask questions.
@TommyNitro I may not have explained it well in the video. The meat of your hand is now able to rest directly on top of the bar, like your forearm from the elbow draws a straight line down onto the top of the grip, so it takes away the need to GRIP the bar and you just rest there. The angle may feel awkward at first coming from overly angled down levers but that sensation goes away in practice. You don't want the levers perfectly horizontal, just enough so you can easily access them while in the most rearward Braking position. (Which is, as far back as you can get while still holding the bars) Hope that makes sense

Cheers Ben, hope this helps ya
Do you find that a DRZ400E is abit squashed stance wise? I feel better on my R1200GS
I haven't spent much time on a DRZ so can't remember but I'm sure the cockpit can be opened up a bit quiet easily
What boot do you wear and would you recommend them?
Forma Terra Evo. Good weight and comfy, Love the proper stitched sole and they are right on the border line of having enough protection and support, although the only other Adv boot with more is the Sidi. Main con is the inside liner has come loose and locks my foot in when removing the boot

Do the flatter controls place more strain on the wrists when standing?
No, if your weight is in your wrists then it's not in your feet, so you are standing wrong. Check out our 'listen with your feet' video
