Introduction and Variations I - IV. Live performance by Julian Lloyd Webber (aka South Bank Show theme tune). Taken from 'Andrew Lloyd Webber: The Royal Albert Hall Celebration'.
Same. Actually, I have a love/hate relationship with ALW's work (You have classics like POTO and Cats, and then there's... Love Never Dies), but Julian's so insanely talented it's impossible to not respect his work.
LOVE the first piece!! He is so insanely talented!!! The second piece is still incredibly great, just not my favourite. Gotta love the Lloyd Webber clan!
@yukifan23: Hear, hear! However, although Paganini wrote the theme (from the last of his 24 Caprices for violin), Julian's dad Andrew wrote the variations. That theme has inspired sets of variations by other composers, most notably Brahms & Rachmaninoff--try them (you might like them!).
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard. I never tire of hearing it!
love it how he's just wearing a sports top lol

My Grandad gave me a copy of this on vinyl when I was five - great to hear it again. Many thanks for uploading.

He certainly knows the "secrets of his art".
I love this piece. Thanks for posting.

briliant love it
in the words of my friend Jude....HE'S SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
geweldig
paginini :D
:) this is cool but i why is he wearing that, isn't kind of formal?
The dancers felt out of place with Julian. He's cool, sexy and the type of guy who wears jeans to Royal Albert Hall. They just didn't seem to fit.
anyone knows where to find this on dvd?
my volume needs to be louder...
Was it this one that was supposed to be act one of Cats? To good that never happen. But its good play thou^^ Johan.
Apparently he thought it was casual Friday!
Love it... except for the ridiculous dancers during the most intricate piece of bowing. Cheeses me off every time I watch it.
I think someone was enjoying his cello a little too much... though he is really good and the song is fantastic.
poor
could off wore something smarter :/
fail. synth voice and adsl fail.
What's with the crappy "dancing" and awful "choreography?"
