Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness + Beyond the Dark Portal OST -All Soundtracks HD Link to the Playlist: • Warcraft 2: [Tides of ... Warcraft 2 OST - Orc 1
There's just something so incredibly catchy about how it starts out totally feeling brutish tribal-like for the first 30 seconds.. Then immediately after it starts to feel.. mystic. Like there is something magical under the surface.. Which, of course, knowing what we all know now about their history - it makes sense. But back then - It definitely hinted at something deeper than just some savage orcs vs humans. Or maybe I'm just digging too deep into my nostalgia.. 🤣
"Knowing what we know now" doesn't sit well with me. I mean, with Blizzard's tendency towards retcons I have doubts that they were hinting at anything as far back as Warcraft 2. Heck, World of Warcraft seems actively out to kill my childhood with its haphazard rewrites. Not saying you're wrong, just that I'm glad you're able to read into it like that. I'm a bit more cynical about how Blizzactivision handles its properties, so I can't say I'd trust their intent to foreshadow something like that with the older games.
@@Gigas0101 I would say that Warcraft 3 is definitely a retcon, but it isn't a bad one for the most part. It's like an alternate future going off of the BTDP ending. WoW, on the other hand... no. Just, no.
Back when orcs were real orcs, and not the indians-wannabe from Warcraft 3... I won't even mention WoW, 'cause the story dived into absolute shit territory after that.
*Ready to work.*
If you're ever going to plan something evil, here's the song you'll need playing in the background
Palpatine-like, planning to conquer the whole world like a true puppet master
when you spamming death knights but you discovery yours opponent was spamming paladins with exorcism and healing
"For the king!" (begins spamming spells)
@@Nehfarius Oh man I can still hear the voice when I read it!
