@@RobertCassard yes you definitely had an influence for sure! I want to see if I can get one of those holders for it. I tried searching for the Kraft boy compadre and couldn’t find it
The High Strings from a set of Thomastik Plectrum Bronze Extra Light 12 String Guitar Strings would eliminate the Finger Squeak cause the Wound Strings are Flatwound & they have Silk wound around both ends to protect them.
Hadn't thought of getting Thomastiks for this guitar... I'm kind of addicted to coated strings because my body chemistry tends to "eat" non-coated or treated steel strings.
Hi Robert! This was great. And the backpacker sounded great! Very bright. I did not think it would sound like that. The Nashville turning really added to the “standard” backpacker sound. I really need to get one. You are right about sounding similar to banjo! Great little video Thanks.
I hope the Octave4Plus .006 High B String sounds OK on this cute little Guitar cause High B Nashville Tuning would really take advantage of this Small body. The newer Martin Backpackers work easily in Stanard Tuning w/ a good Bass responce cause they have a slightly deeper body.
Hey Robert, thanks for the informative videos. They are great ! I think the Backpacker is great also ! What brand and gauge strings do you use for Standard and Nashville tuning on your steel string Backpacker ? Thank you in advance.
Thank you, Bob. Backpacker strings. For standard tuning, I like Elixir Phosphor Bronze extra light gauge. amzn.to/3KVuxK5. They’re coated, so last a long time, even if the guitar isn’t getting played much. For Nashville tuning, my preference is to use the 6 high strings of a 12-string set. (Strings 2-4-6-8-10-12). Again, I use Elixirs because of how long they last. amzn.to/3wmtC1y The bonus of using the 6 high strings of a 12-string set is that you have a 6-string light gauge set left over to put on your favorite standard 6-string or parlor guitar. If you don’t care about having coated strings, D’Addario makes a special acoustic Nashville set that are dirt cheap. amzn.to/3Jo4HhF Whatever you use, have fun!
Use to have a Vega like that one of yours it was white, I put a V8, 327 IN IT, Thanks just subscribed, love the channel, how do you get those individual tracks, in your blow-up vids? saw the give me shelter vid first one.
Robert. you created unreal masteriece. 📽
Wow, thank you!
I watched one of your first videos years ago about the Marin backpacker. I bought one this past year and love it!
So glad you’re a lover not a hater, Scott! And happy I had anything to do with your purchase…

The newer Martin Backpacker Guitars sound amazing in Standard Tuning too cause they actually have a Slightly Deeper body.

@@RobertCassard Ah but those Thomastiks are also coated to protect them.
@@RockStarOscarStern634 Really? I don;t see anything on their site about the strings being treated. Am I missing something?
@@RobertCassard They have a Special coating that's sweat resistant & also lasts many times as long.
Always enjoy your enthusiasm Robert 😀 safe travels
Thanks, Jack. Nice to have a good lookin’ dog as a subscriber!
Sounds really good!
Glad you like it, Criss!

I want to try a .006!
@@RobertCassard Yes Octave4Plus has what you're looking for. I'm excited to see it cause since Ukraine needed our help, this should be a good add on.
That really does sound like a mini wooden banjo! Country twang.
Unique, eh?

Thanks for the sub, AJ. I've had some of these master tracks for years, and now I finally have an excuse to use them!
