The balancing is what keeps the players playing for years and excited for content. It sucks that if everyone just bought the game regardless of the quality which doesn’t greatly incentivize the company to seek quality. Also, I don’t think adding more hp is the main problem. There’s some games that do it well where adding absurd hp to end game content helps force players to actually care about mechanics and skills like the mythics system in WoW. Yes it’s tedious, but people do it and like it because of the necessity to reach end game content in a popular game. Jack was a threat at every step, plans against him backfire, small gains are lost again quickly, and the entire tone of "If this goes right, we might have a shot" that carries throughout makes his eventual demise an underdog story, where with the Calypso twins, it's just 'Ugh, get of a load of these assholes, amirite?' instead of the calypso twins being taken as any sort of threat; sure, everyone admits that they're dangerous, but there's no point where the team is merely hoping that they can take them down, there's no narrative stakes because everyone is so confident they can win, and even when that burns them, instead of having that be a hinge point where their strategy shifts, they just keep 'running towards the fire' since the one time they *did* get burned, they still ultimately progressed in their plans against Troy and Tyreen.
@Aderon I mean, having a better writing can certainly help the game out, And I do think that Borderlands 3's was subpar. Having a good story will only get them so far though, most of Borderlands is played at the endgame. Meaning that once you've gotten your 4 characters to max level the story has pretty much 0 bearing on the game anymore. My theory is that the reason for BL3's crappy story is that it wasn't really meant to be about the story. A Dev has gone on record saying that the reason for no great war in 3 was because they wanted to expand the world first before they did that. So my guess is they kind of just made A story that exists as a narrative to drive the world building. As if you dig deeper than the main story, there's a lot of more important lore/implications through the games challenges, and collectibles. It certainly seems like BL3's story put the comic relief above anything else, hopefully BL4 fixes that.
Also the story in BL3 was fuckin garbage. Again BL2 had a great story that I will always continue to replay especially with the options of overpowered playthroughs with increased difficulty and better loot drop chance
Honestly BL3 made it too easy to get legendary drops in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I love getting legendary drops, but when I can get 3+ legendaries within 5 minutes of getting on the game that's a lil overkill. BL2 was the absolutely perfect fuckin game, idk what changes or why but if Gearbox can get back to the BL2 model this game will probably sell more copies than any game ever
Anything Woke will kill it I could barely stand playing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and AVA was pure garbage to the story I'll be waiting to see how bad it is along with how unfinished it is still remember grinding a weapon then after a hot-fix or update and it's garbage now all those hours wasted no thanks Please FINISH the game before release

Did fatal mistakes 3 times already lol..
@andythoms8130 they weren't fatal at that point, it's the fact that they've been done 3 times already that'll make it fatal for Borderlands 4
They need to take notes from Dragon Age Veilgaurd and understand that they need to write a story for gamers and not a modern audience.
"Modern Audience" will DOA this. Not bothering with Gearbox anymore.
Also the story in BL3 was fuckin garbage. Again BL2 had a great story that I will always continue to replay especially with the options of overpowered playthroughs with increased difficulty and better loot drop chance
Please get rid of LASERS!!!!! All that garbage covering my screen and taking away the wasteland vibe is killing the game
Visual pollution is a big issue all around that I hope gets addressed in BL4
@ConstantCanadian yea on console you can't turn it down or off
@@kingamongmen7455 I don't think there's a way on PC either. Unless there's a mod for it? I'm not sure though
BL2 is not perfect.
Women Empowerment, Ava, DEI and Modren Audience can demolish it
Anything Woke will kill it I could barely stand playing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and AVA was pure garbage to the story I'll be waiting to see how bad it is along with how unfinished it is still remember grinding a weapon then after a hot-fix or update and it's garbage now all those hours wasted no thanks Please FINISH the game before release
The Borderlands franchise is already dead.
A 4th part will be the tombstone!
