  • Victoria Canada was our fourth and final stop on our June 2022 Alaskan cruise. We disembarked from Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas around 5:30pm on a warm sunny day. Since we only had four short hours in the Victoria cruise port, we decided to skip an excursion and proceeded to follow the blue line walking path along the coastline into downtown. Along the way, we checked out the inner harbor, the parliament building, and the Empress hotel. Once downtown we headed to chocolate favoris for some specially dipped ice cream cones. After that, we took a water taxi to the fisherman's wharf where we took in the vibe before going back to the ship. Once back on board, we watched for pier runners while we had cocktails on the pool deck before heading to an early night in.

Great video lot’s of good information. Would you happen to remember roughly how much was it for the water taxi trying to see if it’s better then an excursion. Thanks

Hi, thank you for your comment. The water taxi has a posted hop-off price of $6 Canadian dollars per child and $12 Canadian dollars per adult. However, they just charged us a flat rate of $7 per person. You can get more info on their website at victoriaharbourferry.com/water-taxi/.

Pity you didn’t have the itineraries with the full-day stay-Ovation stood there from 8am-6pm-because Victoria is home to Butchart Gardens, which is one of the Prettiest public gardens I’ve ever been to and Well Worth the effort to get there (if you’ve ever been to the Canada Pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot they modeled the gardens in that pavilion after Butchart Gardens)

We’re going in June and the Ovation of the seas will be there from 5pm-10pm. We won’t visit Butchart Gardens too.
