If you wet sand the PLA & paint, the water will keep the work piece cool and keep the grit on the paper from gumming up. I also like how it keeps the dust from getting everywhere and keeps it out of my lungs.
i like the look of just the primer, makes it look like a really aged true vintage keyboard.
Lovely, goofy, retro, and hard not to love
This is awesome dude and the fact you made the files free is amazing good job
Looks like the new 8bitdo one! Great job
I was more than six minutes into the video when I realized you were playing a C64 SID chiptune. Nice choice.

I can't believe the RUclips although failed you 😢
hey thanks! but I don't care about the YT algo 😄I'm no youtuber
This looks and sounds so awesome. I'm jealous!
Super awesome work. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Beautiful!
Amazing Matt3o!
Oh man you shoulda done a millmax build instead!!
I wonder what it'll look like with those circular mechanical keyboard keycaps that is similar look to typewriters
wow...
very well done Matt3o! could you post valid link for keycaps please? SA Retro is too much generic, I can't find the keycaps you used! thanks
unfortunately you can't find them anymore, we had a group buy a few years ago. I'm trying to have them manufactured again but Signature Plastics is terribly slow...
@@matt3o 😕 what a pity! I hope they let you manufactured them again in the future. Anyway, thank you for the reply.
This is a really cool project, love it! By any chance, are you considering making it open source?
YES! Sorry it is taking so long, I will post about it on my blog matt3o.com in a few days with all the needed files
@@matt3o i second the desire to print this up, the bt65 pcb seems fantastic and is super compatible with tofu style cases, but most other designs i see out there are handwired. love your design man, fantastic project!
@@corgibuttes I'll ping you guys when it's ready (if I remember :P )

Which alternative do you suggest to these switches? Kailh box?
Jade are not terrible and at least they are easy on the wallet
What printer was used for this?
it's custom made
@@matt3o That’s awesome! Do you recommend any printers for a project of this type?
@@DanYe_East the ratrig v-core 400x400 is a really good one if you can build it yourself
@@matt3o Gotcha, seems a bit too much for my knowledge but do you know if the ender 3 pro or prusa can handle these projects?
@@DanYe_East width is about 330mm... so anything that can print around 350 should do. The new prusaXL for sure, also probably the Ender 5 Plus, anycubic Kobra Max, and many others
