Awesome video! I'm a piper myself, and I have had the honour of meeting Stuart on more than one occasion and I can honestly say he is one of the most humble people I have ever met. Never shows off his results or anything. Just plays the bagpipes. As my piping teacher and father tells me: "Skite through the holes of your chanter."
For a few years ago I bought a grant new set of pipes and after that, me and my lovely wife went off for a grand tour through Scotland. And everywhere we stopped for the night, I took my set to play a few tunes. Sometimes alone, sometimes with the locals, with a wee dram. Man......that was a amazing vacation!! Greetings from the Netherlands!
He's really a good piper. I always wanted to play bagpipe because of him and i love scottish culture but no one play bagpipe in my country and no one knows what it is. Now im in Australia and met a band that are willing to teach me 😊😊. I got my chanter and loving it,when I'm ready to have my bagpipe I'll get Stuart's McRae pipes. I wish I'll have a chance to meet you stuart😊
For 4 years ago I'v been traveling through Scotland. First I did by myself a brandnew proper set of pipes and off I went! Traveling al around and played them where ever I stopped. Now that was a grant journy in bonnie Scotland!
“That signature tune that you hear in the background was created by one of Scotland’s foremost composers of pipe music [pause] after I wrote it, I had trouble deciding on a title…” 😂
Starting at 18:53 he plays three 6/8s: "Dr. Ross's 50th Welcome to the Argyllshire Gathering," then a tune I've heard but whose name I don't remember, and then "The Hills of Glenorchy." Anyone know the name of that second 6/8?
This combines my two passions in the world: hiking and piping :-). Such a cool team building activity.
I had the honour of meeting Norman McClean. Always knew the tune My Land, didnt know who wrote it. A great man

Awesome George.
That’s gotta be ringing loud playing in some of those smaller rooms.

Hope you're still piping?
Loved the pibroch at the end. It warms the heart and brings a tear.
Brilliant. Love from Piper James in Cape Town. South Africa. Amen!

I'd love to do this at my senior age, might take a bit longer.......
It's been one of my life's highlights to hike those areas and have the company of these same wonderful people. Great job on this production!
Amazing scenery, makes me wanna go and hike that trail
That takes me there and brings me back, and it recharges my Scottish soul.
What a great event, and video !
Love that fresh, cold, foggy highland scenery!
I wish they had played MacGregor's Salute in it's entirety, I haven't found another recording of it and I really like that song.

I wonder how many members are still playing in the band to date in 2020? Steve obviously is, but who else?
So very gripping in so many ways. Thank you for sharing! Roderick Matheson Canada
Just Amazing, Talented man...
Fantastic loved it .
MacGregor's Gathering, wonderful.
So unfortunate, no one in the bars could appreciate his immaculate playing
highly ignorant and disrespectful
disagree...if they didn't appreciate it the place would be empty
Its a very west coast way...
Very nice video! It is a pity that one can barely hear what the man says in the beginning because of the music background playing loud.
