Nice Tutorial, I noticed @6:24 you said to so Ctrl+LeftClick but for some reason that made 3 slices so I used Shift+LeftClick. Hope to see more FreeCAD Tutorials. Currently watching them all and following along. Thanks for the awesome content.
Could you do a tutorial on how to make a simple cabinet? I don't understand how should I put on the edge "lip" on the chipboard and what is the correct way to make the parts for connecting them later? You are the best source for tutorials on FreeCad on the internet. Thanks a lot!
He is the best in the English speaking community, but I haven't seen architectural tutorials in any language, their main user for this gentleman is mostly mechanical.
@@JokoEngineeringhelp Yes, that is right. I have tried to make a model but i definitely was doing it wrong. It was easier and more reliable to make it with a pencil and a piece of paper. I have already made it in real life, but would like to learn the proper way for another time. Any simple example would help. Mine was from 6 pieces.
Good tutorial as always! Good thing to mention that the loft is often more "successful" if you have the same number of sketch elements. It can be frustrating figuring that one out if you're just starting out. Thanks!
Great video, I have learned some great techniques from watching this and other videos. I would like to see a video on part assembly and how you made the engine simulation video. Thanks in advance, look forward to watching your videos.
Interresting video. Did you know, that a sketch that is attached to a PartDesign objekt (incl. Origin) has an „Attachment Offset“, so no need for datum-planes…
Very true and good advice! Sometimes the planes are used for topological naming depending on design intent.

Nice tutorial, thanks! RE the last part (splitting a circle into 8 segments) - couldn't you just make all 8 segments 'E'qual? (and then fix the rotation)
FreeCAD will set them to an equal radius instead of an equal arc length, but that option is indeed available in other platforms. For that in FreeCAD I occasionally use construction lines.

@@JokoEngineeringhelp So - create construction octagon and then create arches from vertex to vertex? Nice.
There is some good help on freecadweb.org, the community and documentation are helpful. I have some beginner videos: ruclips.net/video/gbNg3mzm84s/видео.html ruclips.net/video/geSQlBczsWY/видео.html I suggest starting on the part design workbench and getting comfortable before you move on

This information is very helpful. Thanks a lot Joko for your work.
Nice workflow with the datum planes. Tnank you for sharing. :)
Loved the video, 2nd one I watched as I try and learn FreeCAD coming from tinkering with fusion 360. Thanks for the content!
Thanks for another great tuturial, my respects!

Very interesting! I watched on my keyboard monitor that the ctrl worked for me. I'll have to try shift and see if things go differently

Hi Andrius, are you intending on modeling all the parts individually and then assembling them?

Indeed, I had some trouble with my lofts just starting out until I learned that. Thanks

Now all you need is some of that ceramic SLA resin and a kiln, and you can make a real milkshake glass!
Hey... Thanks for the video... Been struggling with importing and editing.STL files... Would be nice to have a video about it.... Thanks again...

Hey joko it would be really cool if you could make a video on how to make a ring but not a regular ring. Like a bottle opening ring
Hi Piyo;
Like one of these?

This adds a slight twist, but how could I add a substantial twist, say, 720°?
I haven't tried this but perhaps using more octagons for the loft to follow. In reference to this video, making more datum planes.
Version .0 (Pause for reflection) Version 18?
Correcto! 0.18
