- Welcome back to the channel guys.
Today I am closing out the Vewlix/Chewlix arcade project for 2022. In this video I decided to make it more about what platform I decided to use to play video games.
I think this is a very cool project. If I had the Vewlix or Chewlix cabinet, I would either install a good computer, install a HDMI splitter with other game system or add a Mister FPGA.

Cab is looking beautiful. Wish I had this diamond blue colour scheme instead of my black Chewlix. You should look into Big Box if you haven't already, gives you a nice frontend for launching fightcade and your other games without needing a mouse or keyboard. Thanks for sharing your progress

I know this is an old video but where did u get your test bench? I’ve been searching for something like this but haven’t found something as simple and clean as what you have.

any chance you remember the seller or what you looked up? all my searches haven't been too fruitful. close thing were panels on aexpress, but the reviews are so bad i don't think its worth the attempt. regardless thanks for your help and answering my Q. love the content.@@AllAboutTKK
I have a very similar setup but I am getting a lot of audio noise from the same amp you are using while connected to the 12v arcade power supply. If I use an external 12v adapter there is less noise but still noticeable when there is no sound. Did you experience anything like that? I am using a PC.
Are you turning the amp up full power and then controlling volume from windows?
I’m not getting enough noise, if any to where I can notice it.
I went the same route, but put alot of effort into making my BigBox/launchbox look like a taito x.
So my PC is a “TypeX”in disguise, all because playing Steam games is a must for me, and BigBox is a great option.
Taito boards wont do steam releases ,nomatter the multi.

Have u ever considered running a HDMI cable and USB extension directly from your main PC rig into the arcade cabinet? That's way u have one system

@@AllAboutTKK You can run multiple FEs to see how each one is or if you just want to launch something quick, run a simple one

That’s what I was thinking, does it just start the front end every time you boot the pc? Makes me wonder the purpose of the taito type x3/4 from the beginning.
@@loudubbs22 no I have it as a regular PC but can boot into that FE when I want to (dual boot).... I still play Steam and other casual PC games on it.... I do want to tweak the OS to look less like Windows if possible but still maintain windows functionality

If you want a lighter Windows option, run LTSC or IoT Enterprise... No one needs 500 printer drivers in an arcade cabinet!!! LOL
Facts. But when you’re talking to most people looking to DIY, they don’t understand that.
@@AllAboutTKK Well modern arcade systems run off Win Embedded and thats what is now called Win IoT Enterprise... And yeah I get it people wont understand, but I was suggesting it for you if you wanted to run a lighter OS
Oh I’m good brother. I actually like having the full OS, it’s some other things I take advantage of.
But for this build I actually got, when it’s all done, a LB build running off start up.

What is processor?
These are both stock. To what they come with. I5 models.
