  • Out of sight, out of mind? Will your ex forget about you? If you're going through a breakup, you may be worried that if your ex doesn't see you or hear from you that they will forget about you. This concept can be traced back to the common idea "out of sight, out of mind". In this video, Coach Craig and Coach Margaret discuss how this is not the case in romance and attachment and why it is difficult to forget someone that you were connected to.

Im not even here to get my ex anymore. I have to admit i started watching craig and margs so i can get my ex back. But the more i watch your videos the more i learn about people and how to treat them. Its really fascinating and I learned alot to improve myself and how to interact with others.

I’ve been watching Craig and margrets videos for a few months now. I got dumped about 6 months ago and was completely devastated . I wasn’t needy at all luckily and I just let her go, but I thought there was absolutely no hope. I watched the videos, dedicated my life to improving myself in all aspects and I got over her completely. Just this week she showed up on my doorstep and begged me to take her back. I told her there was no chance of us getting back together and she continues to send me long texts about how much she loves me. She’s turned into a total simp and it’s so crazy how the tables have turned. Be patient!! If you genuinely grow and work on yourself they will come back at some point! You just might not want them back when they do ;) thanks for these videos! They are truly helpful and insightful

2 months no contact so far. The relationship didn’t end on bad terms and I’ve done no contact since the start. Starting to just not care I’m used to not hearing from her now. I’m gonna continue living my life and if she ever reached out I’d totally give her a chance. I just wanted to thank you guys for helping me through this. I binged your videos just for comfort and learned so much.
UPDATE: She did reach out finally. using a very corny indirect/direct approach. It was her daughters 1st birthday and she said “Hey hope you’re doing well. You were totally right when you use to say she would get so many presents I wouldn’t know what to do with them all” we talked that day and it went very well but the next day she ghosted me and we havnt talked in 4 days now. So I’m confused but if she ever reaches out again I’m gonna hold back even more and really make her do all the heavy lifting.

Thank you Craig and Margaret. I was forced to end my 2 year relationship with my ex because he would never make it official, never allow a photo of us on his Facebook or even if I took a photo of him without me. I mentioned it to him six months earlier and he never addressed it, so during the pandemic, two months ago I finally said I can't continue living in the shadows I feel like you are hiding me. And he simply never answered me back. So even though I was the one with the issue, I really feel like it was he who walked away and gave up. All the things you talk about are real to me. I am healing from it by just being ok with my solitude and understanding that for me, a relationship is more like an addiction, so the time alone is really good. Move on. Simple. The problem with Get-your-ex-back dating coaches nowadays is that they all have their specific marketing formulas to pull in the broken-hearted. Coach Greg and Coach Margaret are one of the few that encourage healthy behavior to understand ones' self post-breakup which is the best information ever - It's not about getting your ex back, it's about understanding who you are and what you need to move on for yourself. You need to keep moving forward. Your ex is your ex is for a reason. It had to end because you both weren't in sync. That alone should be enough to state that the relationship wasn't balanced and wasn't working out. Learn from it. Understand what went wrong. Then move on when you finally make peace with your ex's decision but moreover when you understand why you were so hurt. I know it's difficult, but they'll move on, so why shouldn't you? Why should you fight for someone who doesn't want to fight for you? "Oh but I know that they will come around someday..." "I'll be their friend and hopefully they'll come back" "I'll do no contact and reach out in 30 days..." Stop living in the past. The past can't hurt you unless you allow it to do so. The present allows you to heal, learn and grow. The future is where your true path to happiness lies. So move on.

I question if you watched any of the videos or the messages because your comment is cynical and states a lot of tactics that are discouraged. Not every ex is an ex for a reason. Sometimes and a lot of times it’s right person wrong time and they force you to do the work heal and grow as well as themselves. Keep your options open but there’s no harm in loving someone and returning to them as healthier more loving people. You need to believe in change and you need to believe in self work. This comment has a negative vibe. And his name is coach Craig lol it’s all over the background and is the name of the channel 😑

The studies I've seen confirm absence makes the heart grow fonder, and if that doesn't convince you, think of all the stories written by humans. Lovers who were separated being reunited. Long separated people meeting up again and falling in love. People write about the experiences and feelings they experienced. Being reunited is almost a universal wish of all humanity.

So, quick insight here I would like to share. My ex and I broke up June 18, 2019, about a year ago. I followed Craig Kenneth videos and then I booked a skype call with Margaret. It really helped me. After two months had passed of no contact, she started posting things directed to me on social media and then came to my apartment and dropped off a note when I wasn't home. Long story short, I contacted her after the note (broke the rules) and we got back together and started dating. She moved in with me and we shared another year together. Worked through things, got better at communication, overcame COVID problems, and I continued to apply the things Craig and Corey Wayne teach.
After awhile...We started seeing big differences. I felt she was controlling, she felt I was too care-free with things. We broke up again on June 21st, 2020 (coincidence?). She broke up with me but I was prepared. We mutually agreed. I come here with a different perspective now. the first time, I felt like I was physically dying and Craig's work helped to ease the pain...This second time around, I have literally NO desire to get back. She blocked me after 30 days because she could not stop contacting me on how upset she was about dumping me and wanted to figure things out. I just wasn't interested anymore because we knew that a marriage to eachother would be a lifetime of differences. I told her to move on and we need to find people more compatible.
Moral? Think of the breakup as a BIG SIGN! These things don't happen if its the right person. I know that's hard to believe that statement and maybe you just need to go through it yourself. The first time we broke up, I would have done ANYTHING to get my ex back. I felt psychotic and doing the no contact rule absolutely killed me...I should have paid more attention to our differences instead. Here I am a year later, a month after this second breakup, and I feel so much less pain. It's like I just fast-forwarded through the whole thing and I could care less if im out of sight and out of mind. Food for thought about your ex.
Best not to dwell on it.

It's been little over a year now since my ex and I broke up. Throughout the past year I would reach out to her (about once a month) just to see how she was doing. Looking back, I wish I hadn't done that since that was just a form of pursuit.
The last time I reached out was 4 months ago to congratulate her on finishing school. After that, I finally made the decision to stop. There's no point in pursuing someone who doesn't see you in the same way. I have been doing things to better myself these past 4 months and feel a bit better, but every now and then I still catch myself thinking of her. I can't help but wonder if she does the same, or if I'll ever get another chance with her. At this point, I'm almost certain she's already moved on.

As for her, though the possibility of hearing from her is there, I'm pretty sure I won't and I'm fine with that. Even if I did, I could never take her back. It just wouldn't be the same. That and I have a one strike and you're out rule lol. Last I heard, she got into a relationship with a guy she had been friends with for years, had a child with him last year, and they're now engaged. She got with him not long after she broke things off with me, so I'm fairly certain something happened between them while we were still together. This is why women who have a lot of male friends (orbiters) is such a red flag. I saw this, but overlooked it because of my feelings for her and giving her the benefit of a doubt. Even though she did me dirty, I have no ill will towards her and wish her the best.

I agree with what you guys say but at least for me as the dumpee even though I want her in my life really bad, when I don’t look at her pictures, when myself or others don’t talk about her, when I’m not reminded of her, it gets easier. Now that it’s been 6 months since the break up and our last contact, it’s much easier compare to 5 or 4 months ago. Why it’s not the same for her? There is no doubt that she respect me because I didn’t reach out but definitely easier for her as well and as time goes on, I’m only a memory.

I honestly want him to be miserable because he treated me badly. 😂 My mind changed because I want that before I will resign, he will see me bloom and happy without him. Very good video! I agree with them that Out of sight, out of mind is not healthy, not if you had a relationship that lasted for 6 years and you were intimate with them. I guess it would work for short term relationships like a few weeks or so, or even if they did something bad, like cheat or something. Which my ex girlfriend was very faithful. One of my sisters says that to me, but I just ignore it. She did, because her ex husband wasn’t a good father and he was lazy. My girlfriend was neither and like I said, she was very faithful.

Craig, I’ve been a follower of your videos. I’ve been in no contact for just shy of three months. I’ve been doing well and moving forward on my life. I did need to return some belongings and get something of mine back from the relationship. I reached out via email, as I did not have her number, it was very professional and to the point and asked for time frames to leave them outside my house or hers, specifically not asking for anything in person and asked for my belonging to get dropped on my mailbox and that was it. No opening/attempt for any conversation outside of the business mentioned and nothing emotional.
I hope this doesn’t constitute really breaking no contact, I really needed this stuff out of my house and that item back. I waited so long as I was really not previously emotionally ready to deal with it and now I am and I need it gone as I’m starting to see new people.

However, 3 weeks ago, he posted on social media that he's in a new relationship and we've been in no contact for only a little over a month. I truly feel like he has forgotten about me and he's just gonna keep moving forward even if this relationship he's in doesn't work out. We had the best bond and were together for almost 3 years but directly after the break up, he immediately started trying to get to know other people. It stresses me out because he's the one I'm sure I want to be with and I just don't know what to do or how to get him back.

I moved across the country with the girl of my dreams we were together six months and three months we moved to Iowa she was from California . We met off my RUclips channel I moved her from California to Iowa and then a few weeks later I moved to Iowa. And one night she got really pissed off at me and laid hands on me over and over again till the neighbors called the police and she ended up getting arrested. I left every single thing I ever loved and known behind for this girl my career, my friends, family . I haven’t spoke to her since that night it’s been two months now today.I guess partly because there’s a court order no contact but I tried to have it lifted. She ended up just slamming me a newspaper and tried to twist the story on me because she’s a news anchor and she is in jeopardy of losing her job because of her trial. She didn’t try to slam in a newspaper until her job found out about her arrest and took her off the anchor desk I’m assuming she tried to hide it but I don’t know cause we haven’t talked I looked all across RUclips and all over the Internet to find a similar situation and it just doesn’t exist. I don’t think I’ve ever been in the lowest point like this in my entire life but these videos definitely help to some extent. Thinking about taking the email coaching from Craig or Margaret but it doesn’t tell you when you’re going to get the coaching session so I’m not about to pay that kind of money and then have to wait a month. On another note I have no idea if she even thinks about me at all those things seem just fake to me now at this point she also has some things she still hasn’t picked up. I also never got an apology from her. It was like she didn’t even think she did anything wrong.

I have aphantasia I can’t visualise anything in my mind it’s true. All my memories are in photos and videos. I have ptsd so trauma I think caused this and my brain blocked this ability out so it protected me.

Wow wow wow the space I used to be in when I first started binging these night and day. The cycles I read people were going through that I swore I wouldn’t. Imma tell you this… I am an ultimate manifestor and by doing the inner self soothing and patting yourself on the back (physically) goes a long way.
I think of her daily n anger and I actually WORK to SIT with the anger and resentment and then add in the feeling of bliss and satisfaction. Literally I create the emotions I want all day, never been a crazy emotional dude so this exercise has been a really right brained thing to do and I love it.
Do I relish on the day she is chasing me the same way I did out of being a genuine person and not this desperate, mistake she told everyone I was ?
Do I want to witness her swallow all the words she said ? Yes yes yes yes
Am I still winning in OTHER aspects of my life?? FUCK YES.
It’s just nice coming back to these clips and literally Feeel how much I’ve settled 💯. Impress yourself with your new life and relationships.

Connecting with old friends and your family can help and also going to talk to a counselor. You can text counselors now it's crazy. I'm right there with ya though it seems like no matter how hard I try to self improve and reflect to make myself the best version I possibly can there is this piece missing. Itll come back like everyone says "over time" but you have to want it. It can get easier and easier to allow your mind to sink into this pit of negativity especially in times like these in the middle of a pandemic. Stay strong.

Craig can you do a session about a relationship in which the guy claims that he was never interested in you even though his actions spoke otherwise

My break-up was very chaotic and horrible to the point I know he will never come back. he blocked me from everywhere possible. He blocked my existence too...So how do I know if he even checks my Instagram account for example if I'm blocked...It just feels like I'm forgotten and do not even exist in his mind, I doubt he even bothers too. So why don't I feel what they're saying above. All I know is that there will never be a return from his side. He showed all the signs a person would do to cut someone out for good. the same he did with his previous ex he never returned back too.

@@dreib5129 hey thank you for commenting, it’s been over a month... but we were suppose to get married in December. Everything was set and planned. But our distance relationship caused a lot of conflicts, problems and fights. I wasn’t ready to give up so soon, but he insisted on it for months before he ended it officially. So to him it was a thought process . Which means by now he’s moved on probably since I was never able to see him in person... distance is also a big impact... and he’s moving out to another country in 2 months time for his work...

@@dreib5129 the other issue, he has blocked me from every where possible so he would be able to move on with his life as what he said. This by far has been the toughest thing for me since I still love him so deeply! Our relationship hasn’t been stable at all... and he has been unhappy for a while so I believe based on his actions he is never coming back 😞he did specifically say this is final decision and there’s no turning point

@@byunsdale believe it or not... I'm in a serious relationship with a wonderful sweet man. I can't believe I found someone so loving. I also can't believe I felt so bad after my ex ghosted me. Met my new bf 7 months ago and i've never been so happy. I would tell my old self to be patient!! and know that something good is on it's way!
