Elissa your knitting is absolutely gorgeous. You ALL knit wonderfully. Such a pleasure to see your videos.
Always a pleasure visiting with you ladies. Great books discussed. Wonderful Knitting and yarns shown.
Sophia, the seawater your daughter took is a beauty.
I quilt, my adult daughter sometimes will see it and live it. I made it for me, but, gave it to her. We all do things like that.
Can I just say how heartwarming it was to watch Alisa, sorry if I spelled that wrong because in fact it feels as tho' I am, give her friends something and for having a nice moment to share what she purchased. I know what it is like to have a strict budget, and I could feel last year was her season for that, so it's fun to see her able to give and share in her joy of knitting. ♡
On a family trip, passed by Webs, and all I had to stop after hearing you guys talk about. Keep on podcasting, yours is one of the best.
Laurie, your bulky knit sweater is lovely. The style is beautiful. Love the sleeves.
Shelby is such a lovely person and I get to see her every few months when she stops into Anderson's Bookshop again to sign more copies. She's a local author for me! And we sell octopus socks now because of her book. I have found that journaling to jot down all my knitting and sewing ideas helps to keep track of them and helps me be able to focus on the project at hand instead of doing a lot of casting on. I am currently trying to finish up several things so that I can keep it to 2-3 projects on the go at a time. But a bedtime routine sounds like a good idea. Love catching up with all of you.
Wow, how cool is that! How awesome for her to have such success with her book. Journaling has definitely opened my eyes to how I can improve whatever I need to focus on. My knitting time has definitely increased!
Your knitting podcast is my very favorite of all the podcasts I watch and I watch a load of them. Please come back!!!!❤
Julie you made a beautiful
Hat and scarf. Love your color choices
💚 enjoyed the chatty catch up. Feels very much like a yarn group I’ve not been to for a while 💚
Hi ladies, I normally watch you/ your episode on the day you publish but was away busy getting my daughter married at a destination wedding. Was so happy you guys had an episode out.(first thing I did was watch you, well after all the laundry, and the unpacking and the food shopping and cooking...) I made a wedding shawl for my daughter which i finished a day after and gifted it to her on the reception night still damp🤣
I love spending time with you ladies. You are all so relatable. I loved the journal selfcare . I’ve had a journal as long as I remember but I’m like Julie that I don’t keep them after . I’m reading the covenant of water too
Covenant of Water ❤ I get it about the journals. I love how they work differently for different people. Thanks for sharing.
I love you ladies!! Thank you for making the time to podcast! You are all so relatable and so much fun!
❤
Thank you for coming back! I missed you and like always enjoyed your updates. I love knitting too much that I never make time to read but have no regrets!
Gorgeous cabled sweater Elissa. Wow. And, the shawl is sooooooo beautiful. Color is soft.
It’s always so nice to see you ladies! Thanks for another lovely visit. You always inspire me to pick up my needles. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
So nice to see your beautiful faces:) Love seeing all the WIPS and FO's. Happy Knitting. Kim
Love your podcasts so much! You are a great group- fun, relatable, and aspirational ❤ Sophia, you should make a Moonwake Cowl with your 4-skein set!
Love the kitty showing up, what a cutie!
Love seeing you ladies again. 💞
Glad you are back! Beautiful knitting and see you soon
Always love to see your podcast pop up! You keep me smiling and inspired by your knitting! I usually knit along as I am listening. Thank you for taking the time to create and upload a new episode. Happy Knitting❤
So good to see you ladies again and listen to what you have been up to! I had fun watching 😊 Ramadan Mubarak to Sophia !
So inspiring as always!, Journaling, yarn, books, love it all. Til next time. Put a hold on Cutting of Stone audio. Hope I get Covenant of Water again to finish it before Cutting of Stone is ready to borrow in Libby😊🙏🏼🙏🏼
Good luck. I’m on my third borrow for The Covenant of water. The commute is just not long enough! Lol
Thanks, it’s always nice to see you ladies. I love all your chatter, knits and sharing your books.
Elissa. That Cardigan. Just so gorgeous ❤! Then the shawl! Love them both.
Thank you so much!
Always wonder to visit with you wonderful people whenever you get together. I feel we are part of lively knitting group. Happy making everyone.
New subscriber! Yall just popped into my feed and I clicked play and really enjoyed the four of you! Great knitting!
So happy to have you here! Thank you for watching!
I love that journal. how smart is that - to make it color oriented - not surprised you are enjoying it and actually look forward to it. I tried just a writing journal and at the end of the day it felt like more work - adding color must be a game changer i would think. I also believe the accountability makes a difference. I don't journal like that, but i journal my food, exercise and fasting routine and i can tell you, if i don't write it down, i cheat!!! Lori, check out Chelsea yarns podcast. she is a HUGE journal-er and its a big part of her life. on one of her recent podcasts she spent 10 or 15 mins talking about her routine and how it inspires her. you would love it. Thank you for sharing. :)
Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll have to check it out!
I’m glad to see you back. I happened upon this episode on my homepage. It did not show up in my subscriptions, even though I am subscribed. Kind of strange.
I’m SO PROUD to have been an enabler! 😂😂 miss you ladies!
Greetings Ladies from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas; I've missed you all & was so happy to catch up. Loved everything; great episode.
Hugs,
idaknits
So nice to see you all again and your wonderful knits. And Thank You so much for bringing up the daily journal. It was a great reminder for me to get back to it. It is a great way to focus on achievable goals. I needed that!
Best of luck getting back into it!
Nice you girls are back! It’s so relaxing listening to you and knitting away after a busy day! Thanks! Love your purchases and projects!
You all look so beautiful! I hope life is treating you well. Thank you for podcasting. So many inspiring projects!
Glad you are back.
What a lovely surprise to see you guys! Beautiful finished products! Enjoyed catching up with all of you! 😊
I started Remarkable Bright Creatures and was reluctant at first. I was glad I continued. The Octopus’s perspective was so important that it made the book so good.
I hear you. At first I was not sure what the hype was about. But ended up loving it. Easy read with a lot of resolution considering
A few years ago I knitted a scarf for my daughter using Marino wool. Yarn from Etsy. Pretty hand dyed pinks, white etc. Wildflower Yarns from Etsy. She has other hand dyed beautiful yarns in various weights.
Very happy to see you gals! Elissa, that cardigan and shawl is impressive! All that cables, pockets. Beautiful!
Thank you so much!!
I missed you guys. I enjoyed the vlog. All of your FO's and WIP's are great. I will watch whenever you post a vlog. I have been a fans for a long time.
So good to see you ladies. And I love the enthusiasm you all have in this episode. It was wonderful and motivated me to get back into knitting. I really have missed it. So thank you for that. Julie, get the book, Children Blizzard. True story in the 1800’s. It’s intense.
It is wonderful to see all of you again. I really missed all of you.
It was great catching up with you ladies! Self care is so important! I’ve started getting to bed earlier and it really has helped so much.
Changes my day and how I feel 100%!
Shawl is amazing too! Wow, Elissa! Gorgeous work!
It is wonderful to hear from you guys again and thank you for your inspiring knits and goals
So happy to see you all again
Nice episode. I’m inspired by your projects. I love to hear what you’re reading and listening too. I would also love to hear what you’re watching in a future podcast.
It's always a great day when you all have a new episode!❤
It's so great to see you all and know you are well. Love the beautiful things you are knitting and your acquisitions! Elissa, your sweater and shawl are gorgeous! I HATED The Covenant of Water!! I TRIED listening to it AND reading it, and I just could not get into the characters!! I have heard that Cutting for Stone is better. There are too many other good books out there to read/listen to!! Hope to see you all again soon.
What a great way to spend my knitting time- with you all. So glad you posted!

Audio books are great from the library and you can knit, clean, drive in a car, etc.
Lovely episode! Laurie can you share where you got your self-care journal?
“But you were busy flossing!”
That’s the compassionate support of a true friend.
😂
Missed you guys! 💕
Hi ladies, glad you are back!
-Love the journaling discussion, I have a date book that I log my day,: weather, activities, knitting etc
ea day
-Remarkably Bright Creatures: SO GOOD!
-Sophia: you may need more yarn, but I’m enjoying knitting Stratified by Tif Neilan. I broke my wrist on my non-dominant hand and had surgery 6 weeks ago(a knitters nightmare!), just back to knitting for more than an hour at a time (Hallelujah!)
Good to see you ladies back and all your projects. Just a suggestion when someone asks about your knitted items say you “knitted it” versus I made it.
Lovely podcast, ladies! Laurie, you were very vulnerable in sharing your journal. Thank you!
Thank you for the love - it’s been a game changer for me
Yeah!!!!!!! 🎉❤ The OGs are back! Sophia I’ve knit about 10000 socks! Ty! lol - so happy to see you ladies! Much love from Texas 🥰

Good to see you back!
Love the hat an scarf Julie. So very
Pretty. Hat pattern is very nice.
Sofia beautiful shawl. Lovely colors
I was so excited to see you guys. I missed you! Laurie, I always relate so much to you. I'm a bad water drinker too, I have pretty bad nightly habits, I am also a teacher who has been reading less! You are inspiring me to start journaling too. Can I ask which journal starter set you bought from Jess's Journals? I love all your projects ladies, you are all such talented knitters!
All of you ladies do such elegant knitting. You should open a knit shop.
Gorgeous cardigan!
Love the sweaters that you showed! E-both your sweater and shawl are gorgeous! S-your Alpine Bloom is also gorgeous! What is the name of the cabled pullover? J-can’t wait to see what you knit in the Barbie pink. L-thanks for showing the Teddy Bear sweater. I may have to make one for a gift for my son and his wife. They are due in August.
Thank you so much!!
So good to see you ladies! Can you share the pattern name for the green cardigan? It’s beautiful! Thank you!
Lovely show...very creative and inspiring/
Made my day!
Laurie, your new journal keeps you aware of what you are doing daily. The pages show what is going on.
❤❤❤
Sophia,
I just watched Beth McDonald stone’s video and she made that sweater. Watch it! She provided a few good tips and pointed out an error in the pattern. Help of danish musings made it too and had issues with it being too wide. Just thought you might want to watch their videos before you get too far in.
Laurie - That journal is great! It will help you with consistency, which is what we need to create change in ourselves. Read: The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.
Thank you for the encouragement and book suggestion! ❤
Sorry forgot to compliment on all your wonderful projects 'you were busy flossing...." I just🤣😆
I have good through so many books via audio books.
All my life people have been saying, “I could never do that.“ I always tell them, “cap. If you had been born 200 years ago, you would’ve been knitting all of the long woolen underwear and socks, and caps and everything for your family. And you wouldn’t have a choice of saying, “I can’t do that.“ You would’ve just done it. You wouldn’t have the choice of not doing it. You would learn it in school or from your mother when you were very young and by the time you had a family you would be a consummate. It’s just a learning curve. I recently made an intricate tatted collar, and people have said the same thing and I’ve told them, “my grandmother taught me to do this when I was eight years old, so I’m sure you could do it if you set your mind to it.“ It’s really just a matter of people wanting to learn something, but it does make you feel like you’re begging for compliments if you say oh I made this, so I try to think of saying that as a way of encouraging people to maybe take up doing something that they hadn’t really thought they could maybe do before. Anyway, great to see you gals again.!!!!😊😊😊😊
Hey if it works for you, go with it.
Sophia, the Magpie yarn would make a beautiful Karamelli Sweater by Veera Valimaki
Something's working with that journal. I could see a difference before you showed it.
Thank you!
You all do such complicated designed knits.
HELLO WHERE ARE YOU ALL CAN YOU ZOOM 😊
