I always found the gameplay and controls much slicker in the second but otherwise I agree, I much preffered this one. The level design and soundtrack was much better.
@@jjthecat9692 how? It feels so slow to me and sluggish. Much less responsive combos and it's harder to cancel them mid combo. The punches in the original are snappy and responsive. Just less moves you can do
Every fucking time I get close to the second boss, he just spams attacks before I can get in. Don't understand how yours didn't start trying to tear you apart.
I see my issue now-I gotta start grabbing these guys more. Btw, on level 6, you don't actually have to wait for the pistons to come back up. You can just walk through them.
Remember those Twin Blaze clones on stage 5 were a bitch until i figured out the cheap rear attack method works on them, (except with Axel who sucks anyway)
It's a shame that, in these games back in the day, you couldn't play all 3 or 4 characters at the same time (however many each of the 3 games had). All 3 game's continuing-game-story implied that all the characters were there, even though they weren't. Now you'd think with computer tech today, there would be a way to rom-hack the games so that you could play all the old SoR games characters with others at the same time on different computers.
It would have caused to much slow down even on 2 players it happened a little bit I thought it was only slight and gave it character! Now they could but it would be to easy and busy if you think about it
Can someone remaster this game and enhance the graphics to match SOR2? The music exceeds SOR2 levels. A graphic remastering would make this game the best
In single player (or, if both players choose "Yes" in 2 player mode) you get sent back to Round 6. If both players chose different answers, then they fight to the death. The surviving player is asked again. Saying Yes will still take you back to Round 6. If the surviving player says No after beating up the other player, and beats Mr. X, you are rewarded with the alternate bad ending.
At 31:17 , there's a way in which you can make two enemies fall through the elevator if you time correctly a jump kick and summoning the cops. I do it all the time, it's hysterical.
On my crt screen scrolling looks choppy jumpy when i call the police special.while in sonic screen scrolling is perfect . Why is that? SOR 2 AND 3 LOOKS GREAT.
Gives me goosebumps this game was so hard my favourite was the lift level if you don’t throw them Off you lose to many lives Puts a limp In my throat thinking how good things where and how lucky I was for my parents to work hard and get me the games think they where 40€ quid that was probably like 150 now for one game
some of the best music in gaming in the 90s
A great game
Awesome music❤💯
Stage 3 music is my favorite
Shadow of Despair that was the worse loool. 1 and 2 where the best
The best music in gaming period, nothing comes close to streets of rage!!!!
The rocket launch driver cop is the real MVP of SoR1. It's so funny to summon him on the ship and the elevator.
at 3:11 it was super unnecessary, bait the jump kick on the grey kung fu mans then mopping up in a clockwise fashion
Man this game is the definition of 'beat em up'. No bullshit from the enemies just stunlock and beat em to a pulp. Fun times those days
I love how when you try to throw the fat guy around it's you who gets damage
When art imitates life right? 😂😂
best fucking music ever. one of my favorite games back then.
The music is so nostalgic. The background lit by the city lights makes it even better
Indeed.
I find this so much better than number 2... Contrary to most people's opinions. Gameplay AND music!
I always found the gameplay and controls much slicker in the second but otherwise I agree, I much preffered this one. The level design and soundtrack was much better.

Music definitely better in the first, but gameplay and enjoyability better in the second

THE INTRO!!
Picking Adam straight away. No hesitation 👌
Took me ages to figure out what this game was called until I remembered my friend had a Sega and not a Super Nintendo
So just like that, the juggler and pepper were never to be seen again, in future games

That sound when collecting an apple.....default generic 90's video game item collection sound used in almost every game.
I first beat this on my own in January of 2013, almost 19 years after sonic 3 was released in USA
As for sonic 3 came out 2 2 1994 in the USA
I like how there are so many weapons and you don't use most of them.
1 dislike had to be from a kid who was born around 2010
Nostalgia...
Every fucking time I get close to the second boss, he just spams attacks before I can get in. Don't understand how yours didn't start trying to tear you apart.
Get close to him not horizontally, but from diagonal or vertical side.
Don’t jump! Omg he’s like so easy wait to
You get the two women they are so fast
The first song sounds like pump it up
Yeah streets of Rage was based on music like that. Also that good life song by inner city for the second game's first stage.
This player is a beast.
Stage 7 , best stage in any of the streets of rage games
You rock at this game!
wow, last I played this in 1997/98. good times!
Wow you did amazing wirh the blaze twins
last melody soo sad.
Whoooo ya
Btw nice stagger on the boss at 8:20 totally stunlocked him lol
Nothing like Genesis retro gaming,
been thumbing through this one a bit in recent days.
I see my issue now-I gotta start grabbing these guys more.

i agree axel use to be a challenge character for me i think adam and blaze in this one has more going for them
yeah his jump attack caused him some real problems
rear attack method? how do you do that?
former cops all under the age of 25 must be a game

you make it look so easy. how do you do throwing moves?
How the hell did you beat the claw boss in stage 2 like that?
that can be done with adami havedone it with the clawbosses
23:45 and 24:52 - Spanked and smashed! 🤣
My favourite game

Adam was my favorite character kinda sad they replaced him in Sr2 with his little brother (Skate)
What if we say; "YES" to the final boss?
You sit on the throne and there's a "bad" ending I think. But I also think you can fight player 2 if you both choose opposite endings 😂
In single player (or, if both players choose "Yes" in 2 player mode) you get sent back to Round 6.
If both players chose different answers, then they fight to the death. The surviving player is asked again. Saying Yes will still take you back to Round 6.

@@sleepyfox0316 much apreaciated.
O melhor de todos
18:38 perfect timing for dinner 🥘
Haha nice glad im not the only one who caught that lol
now i know where i got this violence inside of me i used to play this when i was 5
At 31:17 , there's a way in which you can make two enemies fall through the elevator if you time correctly a jump kick and summoning the cops. I do it all the time, it's hysterical.
The music sounds like a copy of
Pump the Jam

23:45 Spanked and smashed! 🤣
Why does the square wave of the music sounds like a sine wave?
Good.
where's the evil ending.
23:47 & 29:35 Loved doing those tricks when I played this as a kid.
The psg sound became better this way
17:57 "OU-OUCH!" 🤣
What the emulator?
Round 7 is the best music
Is this skates dad? They saved him in pt 2
This game came out in the USA in the fall of 1991, right after the super Nintendo, but still, genesis did what nintendidnt
Great Game
I agree compared to sor3
As Played on Sonics ultimate genesis collection for ps3
Ignoring the weapons
