Yeah ever since Stan sports bought the rights to indycar, myself and basically other Australian cant afford Stan sport + Kayo for F1 (so I wouldn't be surprised if indy viewership is dying in Aus)
Congrats to McLaughlin, and also to Indycar for going out of their way to make these brilliant highlights freely accessible. Expect to pick up a lot of disillusioned F1 fans. This is real, intense racing with loads of personality and heart.
They already picked up a bunch of dumbass f1 fans and Scotty copped most of the hate because they can’t accept how the rookie of the year works. But yeah it’s amazing what INDYCAR are doing with their highlights

@@espo9505 Indycar should use those little picture in picture inserts on standings chart F1 started using in the last years. On the other hand F1 should do interviews with drivers, team principals, race engineers etc. during boring parts of the race and between breaks in qualifying.
Just waiting to see if any Holden fans cry parity over that race win when Scott’s in a completely different category and still dominating like the champion he is 👏👏🏎
Chevy seems to have upped their game this year. Curious to see if that is truly the case. Also, thought it was interesting that Harvey ended up mid-pack just in front of the 2 Shank cars. It will be interesting to see the direction each of those drivers moves as the season progresses.
@@RindiTechEntertainment I'll try my best to explain, but basically the blue flags only warns the backmarkers that the leaders are coming, but they're not obliged to slow down to give space to the leading cars. I might be wrong, but that's basically how Indycar's blue flag works.

If youre on the lead lap you have every right to defend yourself from getting lapped. Its only when youre a lap down or more where you have to let the leaders by.
There was a 40 lap pit window, so the only thing I could figure is that they were gambling for a caution on the restart. The only other way that could have worked was if the yellow had been shorter and Rossi was able to pull out a 15 second gap on light fuel, catches a caution, dives into the pits and the rejoins mid-pack. Maybe the podcast this week will clarify.
@@HODIUSDUDE I was guessing the same they were banking on a quick caution. However, I don't think he was so slow that they needed to gamble like that. That's the sort of call you make when you're way of pace with no hope of running well otherwise. Anyway, I can't imagine he'll be in a good mood for his podcast this week.

This was a perfect race the Championed Indy newcomer McLaughlin Vs the Defending Indy Champ Palou... plus All these new young F1 products like Illot an Lundgaard Vs the US young guns like O’ward an Herta!!!! I watch F1 mainly an I’m finding myself rooting for Grojsean too! I can’t wait man I swear after that docile of a final race in F1 last year, if the new regs and cars don’t sort it out I’m giving up an just going to just start strictly following Indy instead 💯🤷🏽♂️

Question? I am fairly new to Indy car but long time F1 fan. Can anyone let me know why Indy car has not adapted to hybrid era cars where they can use overtake the way they can in F1??
IndyCar has something called "push to pass". a driver can use it anytime to get an additional 60 HP, but drivers only get 200 seconds of "boost" for the whole race so they have to be strategic with how they use it.
@@jockeyjack3367 its the ECU. like all racecars, they don't run their engines at the full horsepower they are capable of because the engine wouldn't last. P2P allows for more revs for a short time allowing for more horsepower.
Why couldn't you show any of Ericsson's overtakes from 25th to 9th place? Thats the least you could do after you put him in the last place cause of a race incident in the pit. He was realized at the same time as Rahal but only Ericsson got a penalty, and getting put back in LAST place for earning 1 spot with a nudge when he was first out of the pit stops.
fun street circuits, more cars, better sound, close racing... as a die hard f1 fan since the early 80s im really starting to enjoy indy to the point, that f1 with less cars and its prius sounding engines and so many boring risk free modern race tracks the new rules of formula 1 better make for some good racing cos indy cars is closing in on my number one formula fast!
There are no blue flags in Indycar, thanks in part to how hard they'd be to enforce on the ovals. They've introduced a new rule where they can disable Push to Pass for cars that have been lapped, but it wouldn't really help in this case since DeFrancesco stayed on the lead lap.
@@danielmargetts2327 NBC has had exclusive rights to IndyCar racing since 2019. They've launched a paid subscription service called Peacock and you can view all of the full races on there. Practice and qualifying are also locked behind that paywall as well.

Blue flags in Indycar doesn't work in the same way as F1 works.

I still don't understand what Andretti was thinking leaving Rossi out on thirty lap old tires during that caution.
