I was wondering how Encore Une Fois compares to Celine Black Tie as far as a vanilla fragrance. I understand that Black Tie is not sweet, not gourmand? Is Coty a Gourmad Vanilla?
The new miss dior is not for me I tried it twice and I just didn’t like it. The price is really steep too 💕 I have miss dior Cherie the og and it just doesn’t compare. Great review as always 💕
I really appreciate that you take into account and critique also the price of a perfume. I totally agree that while a perfume can be nice or lovely, if it has a high price point than I expect that it goes beyond just being nice and lovely. It has to distinguish itself in some way.
I understand that the price of pretty much everything has skyrocketed since COVID started simmering down (so to speak), but these designer fragrances are getting major side eye from me right now. Niche scents has always been on another level that you expect ridiculous prices but designer fragrances should be that one little indulgence that the majority of working folks can enjoy purchasing without feeling guilt or having to scrimp for weeks. Unless a designer scent is in a private collection line, I can't ever see myself paying nearly $200 dollars and even then that scent better blow my socks off lol.

I have (and love) L'eau papier, but this time BDK seems to have no personality at all compared to the Diptyque gem. It is probably my skin or my taste or the big expectations...Anyway keep on with your work!
The new Miss Dior isn't worth the price, it's indeed like Dior's version of Coco Mademoiselle. The beginning was overwhelmingly sweet fruity. Too sweet. Too juvenile. And then became a bit soapy and then more and more a patchouli bomb (a bit an old musty patchouli, old lady one-sorry!). If u hate patchouli, don't buy. I also tested the new Carolina Herrera Blush Elixir, at the beginning I liked it, here the patchouli just balances it out and makes it a deeper, richer scent. But this one isn't the innocent playful girl from blush anymore. It's more mature and a bit sexy. I grew tired of the dry down (still powdery). I think I liked the normal Blush more, although it was not that special, the start notes made it to be more airy. I did quite liked Guerlain's Florabloom. I normally hate iris, (I love Bois d'argent though, weird), but here it is nice. It's nothing special and an aqua allegoria, so pretty light, but this is a great perfume during the day/work when the weather gets warmer (spring/summer). For a very classy lady. I don't think u can offend anyone with it.
I finally tested Miss Dior new parfum. Smells like a cheap gourmand perfume. Same notes as in hundreds of other gourmand perfumes. It has no personality and does not smell chic and expensive. Thank you, Dior, for killing your own masterpiece. I will just have to wait for Dior to hire a new "nose." I will not be buying another that Kurkdjian created for Dior.

I paid 66 Euros for Miss dior the small one. I like it because its chypre. I hate vanilla, tuberose, floral and too sweet scents and so I am glad to find this one 😂
I got a free sample of the miss dior. It smells too generic to me.. as if all floral perfumes have been mixed into one. It doesn't smell bad, just not something new or special.

My first perfume that I went to buy was ARMANI- ROUGE MALACHITE, beautiful scent but really expensive. Then I ordered online 2 pcs, so I wonder if they will fit me, they are LEVANT and GLOSSIER. Today I discovered a store in NL where they had about 70% of my list available, so I could smell them. BABYCAT- a total disappointment for me, I was expecting something more romantic, I liked more CAPELINE.. Terracota- NO.. JULIETTE has a gun- Vanilla Vibes- very weak.. Lust for Sun- didn't impress.. AERIN- HIBISCUS- I bought that one, it's pretty.. SOSPIRO- I more liked EMBRA PURA MAGICA than your mentioned VIBRATO, I bought this Magica.. BDK- GRIS CHARNEL- absolutely NO, I liked more 312 SAINT HONORE, or VELVET TONKA... EX NIHILO-LUST IN PARADISE- very weak and very expensive-NO.. REPLICA-NO.. JO MALONE-NO.. BYREDO-NO..THÉ NOIR. 29- NO.. CHANEL 1957-NO, I rather like the ones from DIOR. I will make another list and next time I will go for more sprays 🙂
I bought Encore Une Fois after seeing your reaction. I agree completely, one of the best vanillas I have ever smelled! It's wearing a bit light at the moment, but I'm sure over time it will strengthen.

I recomend too "o Boticário", wich has "Privée", "Eliseé" and "Alchemists" in they repertoire. Guys I think it’s so funny that you find niche fragrances for $ 380 too expensive. For instance, in Brazil, designer fragrances cost $500-$1000 and niche fragrances $2000-$3500 😂 it’s so sad to be a Brazilian and a perfume lover. A good thing here is we can pay in instalments from 3x to 10x depending on the store and website.
I tried Encore Une Fois and it is beautiful, the cosy vanilla I've been looking for! I also really liked the new BDK 312 perfume, it gives off rich French lady vibes 😅

Bonjour Jus de Rose! I totally agree with you on the Initio Narcotic Delight. I don't know if it is just my skin, but woody and tobacco notes get way amplified and if mixed with sweet fruity and syrupy it makes me want to scrub it off. Maybe a "en passant" whiff of tobacco and cherry liquor from my uncles pipe smell is ok, but just not to wear for hours on skin. Would you do a review of best Strawberry note fragrances? Merci!

I was really hoping the new Miss Dior Parfum would replace my long discontinued 2011 miss Dior Cherie. I tried it in store recently and I’d like to try a sample, but I justdont think thjs is IT. i have about 10 ml of my 2012 left and im clinging for dear life!!! Omg, I'm brazilian and I almost fell out of the chair when you said "Granado". I looove the brand and they have perfums and colognes really differents. I recomend too "o Boticário", wich has "Privée", "Eliseé" and "Alchemists" in they repertoire. I follow you more like a 1 years and its the first time I see you talking about brazilian fragrances, if you can say more about it I will be really happy. ♥
Guys I think it’s so funny that you find niche fragrances for $ 380 too expensive. For instance, in Brazil, designer fragrances cost $500-$1000 and niche fragrances $2000-$3500 😂 it’s so sad to be a Brazilian and a perfume lover. A good thing here is we can pay in instalments from 3x to 10x depending on the store and website.

I tried Encore Une Fois and it is beautiful, the cosy vanilla I've been looking for! I also really liked the new BDK 312 perfume, it gives off rich French lady vibes 😅
I’m from Brazil and so happy you mentioned Granado! It’s way cheaper here though [Figo costs 20 pounds]! Have you tried Bronze (light boozy vanilla by Alberto Morillas), Epoque Tropical (with cashew fruit), Nostalgia or Expedição? 😘
Bonjour Jus de Rose! I totally agree with you on the Initio Narcotic Delight. I don't know if it is just my skin, but woody and tobacco notes get way amplified and if mixed with sweet fruity and syrupy it makes me want to scrub it off. Maybe a "en passant" whiff of tobacco and cherry liquor from my uncles pipe smell is ok, but just not to wear for hours on skin. Would you do a review of best Strawberry note fragrances? Merci!

Wow! That Granado Figo colônia retails for R$132 here in Brazil, equivalent to $27 USD. I guess it costs more outside of Brazil.

I wish Francis K. could come up with a new and totally different Miss Dior fragrance. Also with a different name and accords because the Miss Dior line smells pretty much the same, I am bored of the same sweet girly patchouli scents.

I was really hoping the new Miss Dior Parfum would replace my long discontinued 2011 miss Dior Cherie. I tried it in store recently and I’d like to try a sample, but I justdont think thjs is IT. i have about 10 ml of my 2012 left and im clinging for dear life!!! Would love some
