- Hi folks,
In this video you will see a restoration of a very rusty hand press. I bought this tool on Ebay for 20 bugs. We are doing things like rust removing, painting and some other satisfying work steps.
My wife needs this hand press for placing grommets in scarfs made of of wool. She is running a hand made buisness for unique scarfs.
Please check her out on instagram: #wuppernaht

Pro trick : you can watch movies on instaflixxer. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Benton Amos Yup, been using InstaFlixxer for since december myself :D
Really nice choice of color 👌 much better than the previous one
Thank you😀
Very nice press turned out! I like how clean you work, because today it is easier for many to do everything with a grinder: ruin all flat surfaces and pollute the entire workshop with dust. Respect!
I like the color! I restored a Tonka Truck in that color. Original green was nice also!👍🏼
You put a lot of muscle effort into it - cool item to take on. Color looks great - much better than that original green. I can never make the sandblasting cabinet shots so clear as you. I enjoyed watching your work.
Great renovation job! I have a press like this and I´m going to renew it following your vídeo. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, thank you for your great comment!Good luck with your project and stay healthy!Greetings from Germany✌

Great job on a useful little press. I like your camera work. Re-cutting the threads is called chasing , chasing the threads and is always a good thing to do to clear the gunk out. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

Well done, sit. If it is available in Germany, I highly recommend Citrus Stip paint striper. Non-toxic and very effective. Apply Citrus Strip, wrap in plastic wrap, let sit overnight, then wash it off with warm water.
Thank you for that will check it out.👍
Мне нравится когда к работе относятся с позитивом и юмором

Just a little question, why you was sanding some parts with file where angle grinder was approachable.just curious.
Because I like filing 😉
Nicely done..;)
Do you know, you can make your own Paint Stripper? Mix vallpaper glue with kaustiksodium, Cheaply and if you only needs a little mix.
Thank you I will check this out👌

For a better usage of paint stipper: Apply stripper, cover part with cling film and wait. A day after, put out the film and scrape the paint with a spatula without washing. Brush later, wash last.
Why didn’t you sand blast it to get the paint off?
Really like to work with paint stripper - the effect on video is incredible:-).I also don't have that much dust in the sandblasting cabin :-)
good job, please tell me what camera do you shoot?
We are using some Galaxy mobil phones 🎥📽📹
and which one?

I would paint with powder paint!
Yes I know but dont habe the possibility in my workshop😔
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
i restored a vise last year and let my wife pick the color.....now i have a hot pink vise...
Yeaaahhhhh
👍👍👏
Where’s the press table?
In the room of my wife. Didnt Show in this video
Don't lie, I bet it's your favourite colour .
😄
You failed to show us that badly pitted bottom of that press. That part of the press need a lot of work and most likely not come out as well as the rest of the press.
Yes you are right! We thought that it is not satisfying to show hours of work just for the bottom.. did you enjoy the video?greetings!
perfect 😉🇺🇦🇺🇦
Thank you😀
You should at least fill up the uneven parts of the body with filler and smoothen with wet sanding before spray painting
It is a Tool why let your wife shoose the colour ... Red would look so mich cooler than this, also it looked really good at all
Thank you for this comment 😃the press is for my wife...stay healthy 😷✌
