Heh MD, I want you to do a favor/experiment for us. Buy a CO2 Drop checker and see how much natural CO2 is in your tank. That would be great. Thank you. ><
Every time I feel tired of this hobby or it starts feeling like too much work, your videos give me that inspiration and drive to keep going. So many (too many) content creators make it so complicated. You just break it down to the simplest amount of effort with the kind of results that most of us would be proud of. It's also obvious you care for the animals in the tank as much if not more than the plants, which is very much appreciated as well. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with all of us!
1000% agree i also feel this way. This hobby sometimes feels like there's only one way but honestly its whatever works for you. i keep bettas together it works for me but pros would stone me lol
I really like that you've added that last few minutes of just the tanks and their inhabitants going about their business. It gives us a chance to watch what's going on and truly appreciate the beauty of the tanks. We get to see them like you do, not just in the making. Thanks!
You could have used one of the used sponges from the same filter, from the other shrimp tank. So each had a well used sponge and a used sponge each. Beneficial bacteria for new tank straight away - and won’t crash other tank
I love all of your shrimp builds, and the Iwagumi style is my absolute favorite. I wish I had the money and space to do just 1/10 of what you do! Love it!
Very impactful Iwagumi scape. I agree this one is your best rock-only scape you've done yet. The colors on those shrimp are wow. Thanks for the great job as always, MD. Take care.
Can you do a video on shrimp parameters? Like what you do to prep the tank what minerals you use. I really enjoy your aqua scape videos, but I would love to see your care on the shrimps.
I also agree about what u said about the filters being shown, it kind of gives off a industrial vibe if you want to call it that, just seeing something mechanical in a enviorment like this just feels and looks nice
What a great looking tank! I love the contrast between the dark substrate and the vibrant green plantlets. Also the rocks are just superb with all that detail. And the shrimp are just lovely when they go around doing their thing, to say nothing of the ramshorns who also contrast very well. I could look at this for hours!
Starting this week my fist aquarium with shrimp! I do as much i can to research all the details and who knows, maybe i don't fail! The video you put here as so much of inspiration for me ! Thanks 🙏
MD single handedly inspired me to get not only fish tanks but to make them both fully planted. The tanks are so healthy they consistently have perfect test results and my two separate betta fish are so happy in their scaped jungles. I also totally rock the betta merch. Maybe do a design in colour for a betta? That would be epic!
love watching you and serpadesign’s videos for inspiration, i have a few tanks that need re-scaped and i can’t wait until i can afford the materials. one of them was actually perfect but it got black beard algae, which is the bane of my existence. no matter what the water parameters or light intensity/ schedule i can never make it go away. i literally took a plant out, poured hydrogen peroxide over it, put it in a bowl with a lid with absolutely no light for a week, and the black beard algae survived to overtake the entire tank when i put the plant in a new scape
I use the same filters, they are awesome. I put 2 5w versions with the heater horizontal under them in 2 different 29 gal tanks. They work awesome and I just squeeze out the sponges every 2 weeks with my water changes
Amazing MD keep up the good work bud, you've got to be the best scaper in the UK lol, during covid you keeped me busy as,a got so into the nano cubes,ps never copied your rack lol, thanks alot from us your one of the reasons we've got into the ecommerce business now, cheers from scotland 👍

Hi MD. great video and project as usual. Gotta say I, and a few others I’ve spoken to, had issues with that pump n filter. Seems like the sponge is way too dense and gets clogged really easy. V diff to clean out and ends up getting sucked in and collapses. It may be fine in a shrimp tank with smaller particles etc than a fish tank. Mine is now in a box! Somewhere
I've been watching your nano shrimp tank setups as I'm looking to create my own very soon. All the info you give is great as I'm a complete beginner so thank you. Can I ask what might be a stupid question? I have a barnacle skeleton that I think would look really good in the tank but would that work? I did read about not putting shells in fish tanks as they spike the calcium levels but I don't know if this is ok for shrimp. Also, are the shrimp likely to get stuck in the holes? Sorry if my questions are idiotic but I'm trying to learn before I get some shrimp. I want them to be safe and happy. Thank you for your help.
Hi MD, i am living in Asia. I really love your videos, I just have a few comments about the shrimp tanks since Srhimps are quite a big thing here in Asia. 1. Many of your shrimps are going towards wild colorations as you can see some of your shrimps in this video lost their colors. I.e. Blue Fantasy (Blue Dream) is supposed to come with full solid blue body, either translucent blue or solid sapphire blue. 2. Blue shrimps are generally recommended to use light color substrate such as sand or white/light yellow gravels as they will bring up the best of the blue shrimps. 3. you can start culling some of your shrimps when you have a big colony going. cull only those who's coloration are losing so you can keep breeding those with beautiful colors.
I love the scape, however that style is not necessarily all that great for shrimp. They need wood or leaves to munch on to really thrive. You can clearly see this in your other tanks as most of the catapa leaves I saw were just ‘leaf skeletons’ which is a sure fire way to tell immediately that you have a wonderfully healthy colony. You could easily hide your botanicals behind the large stones so you still get the clean mountain effect, but would highly recommend adding just a few pieces of bark at the very least.
Like always another good video MD. Learning lots and got me right into this hobby. I got my 1st tank other week and got a really nice blue white and red betta fish and blue shrimp as well as some pepper corys 🐠

I have zero connection to fish keeping, but you are just so relaxing to watch ❤❤
loving that grass with the monte carlo. It gives the scape a larger look..... i feel a trip to the aquatic shop coming on😃

Loving the music on this one, was on Shazam the whole time getting names 😂
Hi from Brazil !you are great !
Creative 💯
watching from Philippines, love your vids ❤️
Gorgeous
Having the filter on show in a shrimp tank has a very big benefit you can see your shrimp babies on it
Beautiful as always. Thankyou. You did forget a spot for your round glass feeder thingy. X
awesome video md
almost looks volcanic, love it... I have an empty new all ponds 90 ltr here, i keep skimming your vids for ideas.. decisions decisions!
Ends up with multiple tank syndrome 😂

I'm grateful for your shared information, even if no one else says thank you.
Thank you!
Hey md it would be really cool to see another black water scape with chili rasboras or something
Thanks for doing this
Would you do a livestream with a chat function? It would be really cool for fans to talk to each other while watching one of your amazing tanks :)
the amount of content is surprising me 😂
Its look amazing.

Great video as always 💯
I would love if you did another shrimp tank with a mountain sometime but have moss growing on it.
Like always another good video MD. Learning lots and got me right into this hobby. I got my 1st tank other week and got a really nice blue white and red betta fish and blue shrimp as well as some pepper corys 🐠
Nice, another video
Hello MD fish tanks, can you do a video on your most expensive fish/shrimp tank...
Do the ramshorns generally not have any issues with the lower pH/hardness of the tanks?
Those filters are great for shrimp tanks cause they like to eat stuff/microorganisms from it
Yesssssssss. I live I a country that doesn't even have shrimp for sale😂. I love the methodology behind all your tanks though!😊
Import em 😁
@@maxpower700 that would be illegal😂. They're classed as a prohibited organism
@@nicholasdykes3095 like we are all angels here😂
I love your videos.
I wonder if we can breed shrimps in a no filter aquarium?
I believe he accidentally had that happen in one of his bowl tanks already 🤣
MD had shrimp breeding in the bowls in this video and they have no filter.
I have four shrimps and one of them got pregnant twice but the eggs just fell of her so i thought it just won't work without filter
