when I was young I ran marathons, now I am over 65 and walking at least 45 min a day, plus yoga...the yoga is the best way to never get stiff and improve circulation...and never get back pain.
Im 63. Eat well and work out everyday and am very proud to say i have no health problems. My doctor wanted tests done because she was worried about my low blood pressure.
Whilst I couldn't agree more on the benefits of exercise one thing that you never mentioned is never having to see a doctor again, I don't have a doctor and have never been on any medication and of course if I do catch a cold etc it only lasts for a day or two
I´ve been doing calisthenics for almost 8 years now. I am 43 and I'm in better shape than I was in my 20s, literally. I practice calisthenics about 4 or 5 times a week. On my calisthenics-free days I do yoga and massage myself with massage balls and the roller, also stretching.
I was born in 1969 as a generation X on December 30, 2023 I had an epiphany and a major spiritual awakening. Since then, I have reversing age mentally, and physically by 30+ years and still in the process are redefining it to make the effects more permanent to permanent. I look more like a young female to a young adult teen girl at times mentally and physically .
Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan.
Well presented. Exercise is everything. I especially go walk or ride or do some light weights when I least feel like it. Always makes me feel better and then I am glad I did. A positive cycle to get into.
I love to follow the step aerobics channels here on the tube. I have 2 different types of steps but you don’t need a step to do it. I also invested in a bellicon rebounder. Don’t have to leave the house to do either. You don’t need anyone else to do it with. 😅 I do it a few minutes a day maybe 2-3 times a week all on a carnivore lifestyle.
@Murielle Le Blanc well there are lots of great free workouts here on RUclips. And just to add some interest look into the spring energie step bench from Italy. I invested in one and I love it. A little pricey but adds some flare.
Love this video and your genuineness (is that a word?). I have struggled with movement my entire adult life and I'm now 67 and trying and failing to establish the habit of exercise. I am determined though because I am single, never had any children so I'm on my own and not getting any younger, lol!!! Videos like these are so encouraging. Believe me it's a huge battle for me but I am never going to quit because the consequences of not moving are devastating to me. Now that I am retired and I LOVE being retired, I want to live and I have to move for that. One of my goals is to do jumping jacks! I think that would be an incredibly fun way to get my aerobics done but first I've got to strengthen my legs big time. Seems impossible but only if I think it is (at least that's what I tell myself). Thank you for this inspirational video...now I'm off to check out your book! 🙂

What motivated me to walk almost every day is to use a treadmill with a connection to a device. It lets me use Google Maps to take virtual walks where I want, and there are many interesting places to see and "walk" or "run" through, and they don't need to be famous. Before, I had a hard time with consistency because the weather is uncomfortable one way or the other on most days. Maybe not an answer for everyone, but I hope some people out there will give this idea consideration and one way to approach the problem.
i am very tired because of lack of sleep and autoimune diseas AS I am forced to do streching every day otherwise would be much worse for me, i love to do it and it is free at my home
I collect my firewood & cut it using a chainsaw & axe. BTW quitting sugar (almost), seed oils, grain flour & potatoes.. & using what seems like a crazy amount of lard.. has made such a difference.. I can't afford full Keto. Drinking Lemon/Lime water.. if it's slightly warm is less bitter.. but I like it cold in summer.. also does things. ... & I'm older than you.
The sad part is I feel that many people would rather not exercise, eat unhealthy, and have their symptoms "cured" with a pill. Hopefully videos likes these will change the mindset.

This is going to sound crazy but after going to only two meals a day, I do breakfast and lunch. No sugar, ultra processed food or vegetable oil. After 3 weeks you will notice tremendous amount of energy and no desire for in between snacks. Also noticed my acid reflux and eczema and heart palpitations went away. I will never go back!!!!
You should test your iron level . There is one time I was tired after 3 hours of gardening ( just weeding and planting flowers ) , then I felt tired after vacuum floor ( few square metres ) , I Used iron supplements , B12 . The tiredness was much less but still there , So I used 2 Chinese red dates + 10 goji or wolberries . the tiredness was totally gone . Now I still used 2 Chinese red dates soaked in boiling water , no golberies , for sleeping .
Really important to find a GOOD functional medicine Dr. If you are being managed by someone who only checks one or two thyroid markers you aren't being managed well. And there are other labs that should be checked. Even in my not optimally managed Hashimotos state with pain and arthritis, exercise has almost helped with mood and pain. Maybe you are doing too much or you could be anemic as someone else mentioned. There is healing that can be done!
@@gardenfairy351 I have been engaging with a functional medicine practitioner and they have put me on various supplements which has helped immensely. Some days I feel almost normal with good energy and other days not so much. I have to confess I don’t always eat or drink the healthiest but overall I miss being able play team sports like basket ball. I did try playing doubles tennis but often felt worse after it so maybe gentler forms of movement is better than nothing 👍

It's great. But it won't build a muscle mass. And we lose muscle mass with age, and that means weak muscles, poor balance, falls, broken hips... You got the idea! So, do BOTH. Actually, resistance training for strong muscles/ tone + some cardio for heart health + tai chi for moving meditation.

BUT....it is IMPOSSIBLE to stay young FOREVER!! Nobody, in the history of the human race, for over 200,000 years, has EVER stayed young FOREVER!! And, it is NEVER going to happen in the future. Unfortunately, this is pure MARKETING hype. Maybe "forever" really means 200 years. Just Sayn.....if staying young FOREVER actually appeals to you...stop dreaming....wake from the dream and focus on living your life with purpose, joy and gratitude.

I have a bad back and a bum knee….tried yoga many times but it just makes it worse…maybe I am doing it wrong? Walking works best for me, so far…
