- On Valentine's Day, couples tie the knot under Abu Dhabi's new marriage law. Around 60 marriage applications were submitted at Abu Dhabi courts over the Valentine's Day weekend. Several of them tied the knot on February 14 under the new civil marriage law.

This law is unpredictable! They are not requiring to present a certificate of non-marriage if they are really single and allowed to get married. My husband just got married with a Filipina but he we are legally married here in Philippines. How the department didn’t ask for more documents to prove that the couple are single? Their family here in Philippines are surprisingly devastated right now, especially me as the legal wife and son.
Please escalate your concern and contact them to get your concern sorted out make sure to provide all the legal documents.
Because he can't divorce you in Philippines, two countries don't recognize divorce: the Philippines and the Vatican so basically you want your husband to be chained in a relationship, you can file for a divorce in Abu Dhabi too
They cant register the marriage in philippines therefore the wedding in uae will be null.
@@forbrowsingonly this is true. Their marriage is valid only in UAE. They just made their lives complicated especially my husband because he is married to two women. They are Filipinos and surely they will come home to their motherland. In the end, they will end up behind those bars.

@Ratri India is no more secular by the way!! It's only constitution but not in reality But all GCC countries including Jordan Morocco are secular by their nature but not in constitution
