    Dziękuję Panie Tom, for this VFX tutorial. One observation: maybe noise/grain from original image to be applied to bgrd/sky replace image. But if is the same camera, Sony, with the same ISO settings there is no need for grain control ...

    The one thing i did not understand was the timespeed node??!

    • @TomAntos
      @TomAntos  4 месяца назад

      The time speed node is just to freeze the frame. If you set the speed to 0 it will not play

    Where can we watch the movie?

    A question that has nothing to do with the subject of the video. Did you consider using a drone for the boat going out shots, just so that you could avoid the shake from following in another boat? You could have still followed in the other boat with your drone pilot in the boat following the actors with the drone and shooting the scene. It may have also provided the opportunity for some interesting dolly shots or orbits, etc.

      Yes I did have and use a drone during the filming of Shark Bait. I got some awesome shots. But for the shots where the camera is eye level with the boat it was really hard for me to fly and not hit the water plus get the nice framing... also as my cinematographer said the camera will give us more focal length options vs using the one static lens that is on the drone we had. Perhaps if I had one of the more expensive drones with interchangeable lenses and a better drone operator then I could have shot all the wide shots on a drone. It's definitely a good point you bring up!

    I would love to know the specs on your computer (processor, graphics card etc.), I would never be able to do all those processes in the fusion page without a lot of pre-rendering.

    Tom, did you take courses in college to learn editing❓

    • @TomAntos
      @TomAntos  5 месяцев назад +2

      No. I never went to school. Just worked on my demoreel and got hired to work on my first film as an animator at 17. After a few years working as an animator I started VFX work on live action films... then opened my own production company. I learned vfx and editing by watching experienced professionals with whom I worked on various films. It took many years.
