I am living in a medium-size Turkish city now, and it seems to me that the whole world is quite expensive, specially the housing prices, when compared to Turkey. A studio here costs about 100 euro/month with all bills included. Nevertheless, Romania sounds like a good option for those looking for a nice, affordable country with great people and good food. I think your rent is very cheap with utilities, since last year rent prices in Turkey almost doubled. Your landlord may try to double it when the contract ends.
200 Euros for food in on the high scale. For a normal person that cooks for him/hersef it ~100 euros. 1 kg of rice/maze/potatos/bread is 0.8 euro = 3200 calories. You can get along with around 2-4 euros ( carbs/protein/fat/fibers ) per day = x30 days = 120 euros monthly cost ( with meat + fruits + salads + dairy + olive oil + nuts ) . for a daily average intake of 2000 calories. Eating in the restaurant can be 10 euros per meal. So with 200 euros you can supplement +8 meals outside. And some people barely go out once every 2 weeks. If you do not cook and only order from food delivery expect to be 20 euros per day x 30 days = 600 euros that if what to burn your money. So the range can be between 100-600 euros on food. Outside the home is x5 more expensive per 1 meal vs. homecooked .
My plan is to buy or rent a House in Mexico and one in Romania .Prices might seem to be low for people from the West .But we must remember that this may not be the case for many locals in Mexico or Romania .When us expats move to certain areas of different countries we drive prices up for the locals and that is not cool.

The first video I have published is about my newly bought house in a Romanian village. :) To answer quickly, EU nationals can buy and own property in Romania without a problem - I actually know a few people who bought village houses and everything went smoothly. For non-EU citizens, things are a bit more difficult when buying houses because they are not allowed to buy the land (so in theory, you can only buy the building, not the land it is built on, which is impossible in the case of houses). A quick workaround here would be creating a business in Ro and buying property under its name.

Regarding the rent.. it's difficult to say how people will act, but there's always the possibility to find an owner who will want to make a quick buck on the back of "wealthy foreigners". I wouldn't call this routine, though. And they can't just increase the prices - the renter must agree first. And if the renter won't agree, chances are slim that the owner would go through the trouble of risking losing their current renter and start over again.

As I said in the video, the actual cost of living is not that different from city to city and differences are minimal when it comes to the larger cities like the one you have mentioned. The only difference would be that rent is usually a bit lower in the smaller cities - but everything else is pretty much the same.

That is still possible, but you'll still have to dig around a bit. New buildings are being built on the outskirts of small and large cities and they come with higher prices in general. So even though they are pretty far away from the city center, you pay more for living in a new modern building.

The world is so big, that always something considered cheap by somebody will be considered expensive by another. Regarding the industry you are interested in, I unfortunately have no knowledge...
In Romania, that would be considered a good salary, but it won't be easy to make ends meet if you're a single person living alone on that money, as much of it will go on rent. But for two people or some sort of co-living type of thing, that would definitely work.
I'm amazed that you think your country is so cheap because this is the basic price for food at Aldi and Lidl in Ireland. We also have discount stores like Deals and the Euro Shop where you can buy lots of items very cheap.
Prices in Lidl here (we don't have Aldi) are a bit lower too. But I agree that when it comes to food, prices are sometimes on par with those in other EU countries. But there are other costs (especially rent) that keep the total way under a "regular" budget in Western countries.

In regards of places to live in, as beautiful as the countryside is, I would definitely choose one of the larger cities as they can offer a variety of things most of us enjoy. I personally consider Oradea as one of the best cities to live in, but also Timisoara, Sibiu or Brasov.

However, employers usually offer the net salary (and they actually pay much more in taxes). So discuss with the company to know if the 2,000 are NET or Gross. In regards of places to live in, as beautiful as the countryside is, I would definitely choose one of the larger cities as they can offer a variety of things most of us enjoy. I personally consider Oradea as one of the best cities to live in, but also Timisoara, Sibiu or Brasov.

I have two questions, most probably I will be go to Romania for working as a 3D game artist job in Baia Mare, job is not yet confirmed but I hope, start Up company (Gacriva Studio) will have investment soon. So I have two questions.
Q1. How much tax should a Foreginer pay? In total how much % of my income per month I will pay? Include all tax, income tax, social tax, municipal tax etc all tax, how much should I pay there? My salary will be around 2000 Euro.
Q2. I saw in the Internet romanian people hate gypsy people so much. I am an Indian. My facial look is much similar to gypsy people though my skin colour is brown, as religion I am Hindu, whatever should I face racism problems there? Please give honest opinion. for me, it is serious concern. That's why I asked. If I like that place, I maybe can settle down there, so please give honest opinion on it.
1. If your 2,000 Eur salary is Gross and not Net (take home), then you will end up receiving 1,170 EUR in hand. However, employers usually offer the net salary (and they actually pay much more in taxes). So discuss with the company to know if the 2,000 are NET or Gross. If it's the former, you won't have to pay extra taxes, and you will earn 2,000 Euros per month.
2. You might encounter minimal racism here, but I don't think it will me to a higher extent than it would be in other countries in Europe. In the past few years, Romania has seen many workers arriving from India and nearby countries and people are able to make a difference. Romanians are usually very welcoming towards foreigners and I am sure you will have no problem fitting in and making the country your home.
@@RomaniaExperienceVlog Yes, you are right. He told me that salary is 2000 euro, but after tax, in hand I will get around 1200 euro. I hope game developer or software developer net salary is in Romania 1200 to 1500. If company pay equal, I am happy.
Actually we are very interested to know ancient Romanian religion (xamorxis) which is very similar to Hindu religion. And ancient civilization in Romania. It is cucuten culture / civilization. We already find some places according to the scripture. I hope, I will be there to discover that. Many ancient buildings are in underground, romanian govt do not invest money to find that. Also there stone houses civilization, cave with ancient paintings there, Romania have many treasury of historical places and it need to come in front of world.

So, Romania is not that cheap in relation to salary. I lived in Thailand for 28 years. I always ate out and good food too and not at all expensive. A good meal for about 1-5 Dollars. Rent for a studio apartment less than 150 Dollars. Plus my salary was higher than what I could earn in Romania.
