Is Bucharest expensive or affordable? ⇩⇩Click ‘show more’⇩⇩
After spending just over one month living in Bucharest, Romania I really wanted to share with you guys the cost of living here. n this
The costs I cover in this vlog can be found at these timestamps:
    ➪ Accommodation: 1:09
    ➪ Transport: 2:14
    ➪ Eating out: 3:07
    ➪ Groceries: 4:10
    ➪ Gym: 5:45
➪ Phone plans and sim cards: 6:15
➪ Europe city price comparison: 7:17
Bucharest was a great city to stay in, we highly recommend it to other remote workers out there looking for a long term place to stay. The Internet was good and public transport was frequent.
Overall out of all of the European countries we have travelled and lived in so far 1. Ukraine was by far the cheapest, 2. Poland coming in second, 3. Romania, 4. Croatia 5. And of course, Austria was the most expensive undoubtedly.
Be sure to subscribe to see more of our adventures!

I hope the farmers will never die, otherwise we will get fake products from the supermarkets. Biggest markets in Romania are Lidl, Auchan, Kaufland and Carrefour.

What happened to NZ? I remember my parents struggled after the fall of communism and wanted to emigrate in the 90s in NZ, we still think about Australia and NZ as some beautiful place huge salaries a great life and cheap food. My father died in 2006 after struggling with an illness, we never got to NZ

It’s a comparison of what we spent on our groceries monthly. So we ate at home a lot more in Romania, Croatia and Austria. Yes Austria was expensive but we bought the cheapest brands for everything there. This is only to give an idea of expenses, of course everyone may spend differently.

@@LanaTiare also you could just make a long term loan with the bank and get an apartment, they go from 25.000 to 100.000 euros or more for the fanciest. With 50.000 euro you could get a good apartment. Or get a lower quality one and invest like 5.000 to 10.000 euro and have it super clean and the way you want. Its better to pay for the loan than to pay for the rent.
