One question where do I but that vise you're using to hold the panel in place while you're drilling it with the drill press?

I'm going to try to install another port for the third row by tapping into the 12volt port in the luggage compartment.

Wouldn't it be better if the voltage displayed is what is at the USB port? A current draw indication would be nice also.

Hi I have a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum and my rear socket is not working check the fuses and they are good can you help me please and thanks
Purchased model number 90201A through Amazon. The blue light works. Product lights up when car is on and goes off when car is turned off. I tapped into available ground and hot wires. I get error messages on my phone stating to check my wiring and connection. Used a multimeter and I have continuity with the ground. And I get 12v reading for the hot. Also, it does not say "fast charging" on my phone (which it should do). It just says "charging." Please assist. Thanks

You will have to replace that USB charge port module. You can see if Ebay or your dealer has it.
I have this but the light stays on ,i have connected to the radio cables, can you tell me why it stays on?
Can negative be run to body ground, and positive to fuse box?
Yes you can connect ground to chassis, BUT you should test with a multimeter to make sure that metal body panel has a good ground (close to 0 ohm). As modern cars have many panels that are spot welded and secured with seam sealer. Just because it's metal does not mean it's a good ground.

nice video. I have a 2017 pathfinder S model. so it did not come with a cigarette socket inside the center console. I wanted to install a usb port just like yours. where can I tap for the power?

You might have to run the wire to the fuse box and use fuse taps to get power.

I thought you might cover the front two cigarette lighter replacements ? Any idea how to remove that console piece to replace those two lighter sockets with similar USB ports
I am actually in the process of thinking about install dual USB charge ports in the front console. My idea is to leave the two cigarette lighter plug and put one in between. I will have to do a bit of research into taking the console apart. Stay tuned and hopefully I will have something in the coming months.

Great solid vehicle. If you can get some good discount off MSRP, it's a great buy. It shares the same platform as the Infiniti QX60, so lot of the parts are shared and it benefits by having many of the quality parts/features from the Infiniti.

Didn't disconnect battery. To determine which is positive or negative, use a multimeter to test it.

Yes, you need ignition 12v on that cigarette lighter plug.
Hi i put one in my car it has led light is on all the time is that normal without ignition on
It must be connected to a constant 12v power source. You can install it to a acc power source that only supplies power when the key is in the acc position (position 1 on the ignition ring). Easily found by using a voltmeter... But that meter uses so very little power that I wouldn't worry about it.

Most car fuses are 5A 10A 15A 20A. The USB charger uses less than 5A. If your fuse blows, the USB charger is defective and may have a short. Replace it.

Why bother Nissans are crap..Battery voltage is pretty low ,,Id get a new battery or have your charging system checked.. should read 12.6 Or better
