These videos really help take the headaches out of many types of installations. Keep following. Good stuff.
gonna try this on my ‘00 honda civic lx 🙏
😎💯👍🏼
Drilling the hole in reverse will save having to clean it up with sandpaper
That works also. Yes thanks
Man I love this channel as a fellow Passat owner!!
Wow!!! Great compliment. I’m just a regular guy trying to do stuff myself. Very happy to know. More vids coming soon. 😁
How would you go about pig tailing off an existing cigarette lighter to a second port using the same product you used here
I believe you can do that. It shouldn’t be an issue
Can you link to the hole saw that you used?
Yes I can. 1 1/8 in or 29mm. Here is link. I looked for a reasonable priced one for you. It will work great.
Also would you consider subscribing? It really helps the channel. 😎💯👍🏼

I also added that in the description just now 😊 thanks
@@grind-it-out Thank you! Subscribed. Looking forward to trying it out.
One thing I didn’t mention. If you cut the hole in the plastic, do it in reverse. It will be a smoother cut. Just put your drill in reverse and the teeth on the hole saw won’t chew it up as much. Thanks for subscribing. Good luck 👍🏼😎💯
@@grind-it-out Thanks! Will try it when the car is back home. Wife has taken it to France.
Instead of drilling a hole, why not replace the cigarette lighter? Can you please explain how to do it?
There was no hole. I created a new hole. The cigarette lighter is inside the console. I tapped into those wires to run my usb port. If you have a cigarette lighter hole you can use that but you still have to drill the existing hole to make bigger to fit usb port
I did that in the front cigarette lighter. Just remove it then drill a little bigger and connect the cigarette lighter wires to the usb wires. Exactly like I did in the video.
Not a type-c
It has two ports
If you want a type c, buy a type c.
it has type c and usb port
Exactly
