Well it was made in 1978.
Its 40 years old not 41
I remember so vividly watching Grease in the cinema back in October 1978., with Frankie Valli singing "Grease Is The Word". 41 years just flew by, like a breath of air. Life is short, live it before it's too late.

One the saddest videos. My childhood, slowly disappearing. Makes me think of the passing of time, my own mortality. Great music.
Russell Atkinson ... so true, makes one realise that we’re just passing through 😔
i was 9-10 years old when i first saw, now years later, looking back at it
The music is really haunting, and it added to my sadness. I was 10 so now I'm 52 and even if I'm "fresh faced" for my age I can't recognize myself in pictures...
We are all transient.
I was 8 yo back then, time flies and my knees hurt as hell.
When I look at this, I can't believe it. Our life has slipped away before our eyes. I'm 66. I had my first baby in 77.

I've never watched this movie and thought any of them looked out of place or too old, well maybe except "crater face" lol
They were literally ALL in their 20's with the exception of Stockard

They played high schoolers 😐
Oh dear, what ever happened to beautiful Stockard Channing. Something has gone very wrong.

@@jenniferbond7073 I wonder why people dont tell people the truth when they get plastic surgery .... they all literally look like clowns .... sad
This made me so sad , grease is such a timeless movie and seeing how much they all aged makes me feel uneasy
Why you feel uneasy we all get old to make you feel better we all gonna die.
Same girl xc
I know what you mean. But don’t feel uneasy. In fact, because nothing lasts forever you shouldn’t waste one second of your time feeling uneasy. Live your life to the fullest.
One thing this should tell you about life is that everything has its own time. There is a time for you to be a kid. A time for you to be a teenager. A time for you to be an adult and a time for you to be an elder.
So be happy! Live your life and love with all your heart. You won’t be young forever! Also remember life does not end on this earth. There is much more to us than what you see on this earth.
Then don’t side by side yourself after 30 years. I think time makes us so much better. Maybe not on the outside. I love my 49 year old self as opposed to my 19 year old self. I’m much happier and grateful for all of my blessings. Please know I’m not trying to be mean. Youth is beautiful. So is life!
Me too. Was born in '77. Obviously watched this movie as a kid. To see these people now is definitely a wake up call.
My favorite line from the movie was "if you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter".
Craterface bumps into Kinickie's car
Kinickie: "HEY! That's my car!"
Craterface: " Yeah? I'll give you 10 cents for the whole heap, including your chick!"
m c
Omg,I forgot about that line to!
There were so many ones I'm being reminded about reading these comments🤗
That was a very funny line! How about, "A hickey from Kenickie is like a Hallmark card, when you care enough to send the very best." LOL
Kevin Williamson haha! I actually remember laughing out loud in the theater when that was said. 😆
If you can't be a jock, be a jock strap.

I thought that was sort of too much, actually--we don't need that type of information about celebrities (seems too "intrusive" to me).

Damn Cha Cha was still beautiful at 63. She looked like she was still in her 40's.
S C I always thought she was stunning.
She danced so gracefully as well.
Michelle C she sure did👍🏼
She definitely aged well, before she died.
She died
It's a shame some spoil their looks with plastic surgery.
They don’t. It’s used as a means to prolong the illusion of the sex they claim to be publicly, not biologically. That’s the saddest part 😭

Close enough, I guess. Seems like every TV show or movie I've seen with "high school kids" in it, the actors playing the high school kids are all (or almost all) in their 20's already.
It's so normal in films people are used to it.

Yes he died of Aids or rather pneumonia as a complication of Aids he was only 46
He looked the oldest out of all the "students". 😉
Nostalgia and an eye opener on how time flies.
Olivia Newton John is and always will be drop dead gorgeous. The woman is an angel.
And she has done battle with cancer intermittently for quite awhile. If it pops up again, hopefully she’ll win the battle for good!
Gimme a break--she may have been "drop dead gorgeous" in the 70s, but those days are long gone. She still looks really nice for her age (71), I'll give you that (and among the women in this cast, based on the way they look now, I'd say she's in the top 3 at least).
@@FranPett Sadly she didn't make it this time. It's time to say goodbye.
The melancholy music is appropriate. It makes me think back to the 70s which now seem so distant as to be a different world. Videos like this remind us of how the youthful stars we saw are brought low, and that we will be too.
For those who think getting old means "the best is yet to be," spare us the cant. Who wouldn't trade illness, wrinkles, stiff joints, and diminished capacities for youth?
Cha cha looked wonderful at 63, RIP doll!

Actually, I think that's usually the case--in TV shows and movies that I remember which were at least partly about "teenagers" (typically, characters who were juniors and/or seniors in high school), most of the teenagers were being played by twenty-somethings.

Thank you! Interesting how our 'idols' turned out. Age is a cruel master to the body. They say, that your personality becomes more written on your face over the years. Some people 42 years later seem so kind and nice, like "Doody" and "Eugene". Some not so much. One even bitter ("Vince Fontaine"). Perhaps caught by the camera at a bad moment.
