I do love some of the art deco mirrors with their clean lines for interior design. It would be fun to create an art deco bar with a record player for playing jazz music….

I’m very interested in learning more about The Bloomsbury Group decor. See pictures of The Charleston House which is in the English countryside. This design was created by a group of talented artists. I love the eclectic freedom and the muted colors.

Sarah, you did a great job of breaking the Art Décor style down for us!!! We have an Art Décor ceiling light in my husband's den that he owned before we were married 40+ years ago. Last year I purchase a set of two round gold-tone, mirror-topped round side tables that remind me of that era. I love them as I move them around here and there. I also own a couple of vases in that style. Very pretty. 🗼 Thanks for putting it together.

I really like today’s topic ! And I think it is a brillant idea to dive into different styles. Art deco being as you said, one the majestic splendor of the 20’, particularly in hotels or grand houses. (Gatsby style). But has to be also carefully used in more simpler places, as it is a style for big spaces and high ceilings… I particularly like the art deco sculptures, largely used in the communist countries at the beginning of the XXe century… New York, for Parisians, was the epitome of art deco, jazz, and is still filled with extraordinary wonders, just walk along the streets of Manhattan ! Great video ! (the nursery picture you showed is my friend’s son Brook’s bedroom in NYC ! They recently moved to N Carolina, the world is so small….)

Love Paris and The Great Gatsby movie I enjoyed. I too! Like round pillows, I hang tassels, here and there in my home. A touch of wallpaper. Love the fancy whisky bottles, for things in place of whisky. Love the ideas you bring to your channel.

I know my grandparents had some elements of art deco mixed with an old Hollywood style. My mom still has a few pieces. I would love to see more of the 1940 time period with great pieces of furniture.

This is definitely one of my favorite eras! Our wedding was in this theme with flapper dresses and cars from this era. It was so much fun to do!
I’ve always wanted to do a room in this design theme but never did. You’ve got my wheels spinning again! Maybe my office!
I am all about vintage French decor and the rustic and time worn look of French Country, English Cottage and Shabby Chic designs. I’ve loved Nouveau designs as well. I love the glam and ornate looks but I’ve always been drawn to Art Deco, which is in some ways opposite of what I gravitate towards. It’s emphasis on geometric shapes and patterns is so different from what I love but I do love that Art Deco is glamorous and sophisticated. It’s easy to make it not overly feminine or masculine, able to appeal to both sexes. Though I truly love the more feminine versions of the deco era. I love it! Maybe one day I’ll finally try it!

Lots of art deco inspiration in Disney’s Hollywood Studios here in Florida. Especially on Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards as well as in the Commissary dining.

My home was built in 1923. It’s a 2 bedroom Tudor storybook ? Cottage . I love to decorate english cottage but am very interested in this time period for other ideas such as this. Especially as we plan to restore the updated in the 60’s bathroom and kitchen . The Waldorf Hotel ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️, oh my that is gorgeous

We have a 1920 Victorian farmhouse & been wanting to incorporate more Art Deco (inspired by the original Art Deco ceiling tiles in my 3yr old daughters bedroom) I’m drawn to Victorian/English Traditional style but recently went out of my box with Hollywood Regency in my 6yr old daughters room (love it) So now wanting to venture into little bits of Art Deco

I love a touch of art deco. When you described it's qualities, I love many of them. I am looking for ideas on Grandpa chic style? Not sure what you call it but I am drawn to it.

For the art…Art Deco art takes a lot of inspiration from Cubism and Bauhaus.
Also, a lot of the reasons why the 80s were so odd is because of the Art Deco influence. So, if you can’t find authentic pieces from the period, you can use pieces from the 1980s

Honestly am I the only resin in the world who really loves what Ican only refer to as “British West Indies” & or “the beautiful vibe of “The Raffles 0:33 Hotel” style also the beauty of Mexico (as in a la Freida Kilo I’m a Christian but I do see the beauty in everything I did also like this Art Deco

Its a beautiful show stopper style .. i think in the home small doses would be nice.. i love the idea of uncorporating it into a wedding theme. Years ago i saw a flapper style or idk.. art deco style wedding dress I actually thought was completely stunning. Off topic, but can you rent peacocks to wander around at an outdoor wedding venue?🤔...
I agree! And no, I doubt you can rent peacocks, they are so naughty if they don't like a place and they just fly away when they want to. My neighbor was so excited to bring home two peacocks and they go mad and flew away within the first ten minutes. So sad and so funny.

Art Deco has always been one of my favorites! If you’ve never seen “Being Mrs Pettigrew For A Day”…. DO IT, SARAH! Francis McDormand is in it along with Amy Adams. It is one of the coolest movies ever and Amy Adams apartment is an art deco heaven. Seriously, watch it Sarah! ❤️
