Hi, I give my dogs kefir yoghurt with D3 + K2 added because the one dog had terrible dandruff and dry skin but not any more and because they are in their later years I also give them CoQ10 because one has developed a heart condition and has suffered with epilepsy since she was 5. We manage her epilepsy with medication and she only has a seizure once or twice a month these days, but the seizures are very mild these days and only last 2 or 3 minutes. When she first started the seizures, she would sometimes have 3 a day, every day and they used to last for 5 or 6 minutes. I have kept a journal of her condition since she started the seizures about 4 years ago, and she's come a long way. The vet wanted to put her on another medication for her heart, but I won't hear of it. The Epiphen is enough medication for any dog. I don't want to bombard her with medications as I understand the adverse side effects of big pharma drugs, so I look to keep her healthy by keeping her diet simple and fresh. We don't feed them dog food. They have freshly cooked chicken, beef, and fresh, unprocessed fish with either rice or pasta or homemade biscuits with spiralina. The spiralina is to detox any heavy metals that may be in the cod, herring, or salmon just to be sure. They also get steamed carrot in their food, which they really enjoy. Neither of them are over weight and they get nothing that contains sugar. I sometimes, as a treat, will give them a couple of table spoons of goats milk. I have always believed that a healthy gut is important because that's where the immune system is based. It was good to see your vlog outline the healthy gut guide.
Ummm... dogs are obligate carnivores.. the best all round perfect food for dogs AND cats for that matter, is meat, pure and simple... I had ALL of my four dogs on pure raw meat. Our current dog is 90 lbs., lean and healthy at 11 years of age with a glossy, healthy coat and NO cavities. His only treats are bacon, our leftover meat and a bit of cheese. Strange that you would seem to endorse the typical store-bought food-like substances. Dogs DO NOT require carbs or veggies at all. This just sounds like a commercial for dog food. Pet food manufacturers sole interest is to fool consumers into thinking that they and only they know the perfect "scientifically" defined diet. Their data is conjured up out of thin air in the interests of their share-holders and to pad their bottom line. Don't feed this slop to your dogs; they will just die sooner or if they live to a ripe old age, they will have cavities, arthritis, and/or diabetes, a truly miserable way to live. After all the stuff I just heard you say, no wonder our pets share all of our human diseases. That is so sad.... and misleading.
Dogs are NOT obligate carnivores, your statement ghat this is the case is categorically incorrect. The rest of your comment is presumably from the same data you tell of pulled out of thin air
@@OurPetsHealth there is absolutely no need to be gratuitously insulting with no evidence to back it up. If you want the truth, just follow the money. It's eye opening. If you love your dogs, don't feed them dog food like substances. Pet food companies are completely self regulated with the FDA leaving it in these companies hands. Their motivation is strictly their bottom line. All you have to do is see with your own eyes how many dogs get the very same diseases their humans get.
Dog “gut health”😂 They have concentrated acid in their digestive tract that can turn bones into jelly. Here are 5 things that contribute to robust bacteria in your dog’s gut. 1) Cat sh*t 2) Something dead they find on a walk 3) meat from the fridge that is going bad 4)sticks 5) Another dog’s sh*t
Thanks doc!

I'm not the one without evidence to back up my statements. Loads of it on pubmed to start you off
evidence: as descendants of wolves.. wolves eat berries and roots and such from time to time.
