3XO was top of the list for me before the test drive. After the test drive, everything changed. The turbo lag is terrible and the engine comes alive only after 3000 rpm. You'll enjoy it on highways but it cities where you'd want to zip past gaps in traffic, you'll be disappointed. If you are stuck in stop-go traffic with a manual, you'll end up with a sore left leg. Yes, the clutch is that heavy.
@@pratyushshrivastav3062 did you try putting engine on for 20-30 seconds before starting to drive. Normally turbo engines which are driven in this manner may not feel much of a lag right?.
@@Suvik6198 I am aware of what you are saying. The car was driven to my place by the showroom guys, it was kept on and I took the driver's seat. So, the turbo bits were pretty well oiled up and everything.
I own the TGDI MT. I infact feel that it doesn't have much turbo lag. I have an ecosport diesel too BS6, and driveability is slightly better than ecosport diesel surprisingly. And that speaks a lot for a turbo petrol. Atleast turbo lag is a lot better than Skoda and VW 1.0 TSI that I test drove.
True, slowly they are going to phase out diesel and when the whole ev craze and fallacy dies down, there will be something else. Meanwhile, Gadkari’s next generations are laughing their way to the bank
Went to test ride the xuv 3x0 was almost sure id be buying one. 1) impossible to drive the manual there is no space at all to rest your left leg very cramped. 2) no proper automatic in diesel 3) buttons and finish feels unrefined compared to sonet plastics feel like crap 4) suspension is a bit too soft bottoms out easily, although kia suspension is not any better 5) steering doesn't feel too connected. 6) horrible noises from the car, all kinds of stupid warning bells, even the blinker sounds are damn annoying. Despite all this the base petrol variant is damn sweet a deal. But given all these flaws I went and bought a 2024 kia sonet htx automatic diesel. Yes the cabin space and airiness was miles ahead on the mahindra but the sonet offers a premiumness that is unmatched, the engine gearbox combination just superb. The attention to detail is on another level. Maybe is 2 or 3 years mahindra will fix all the niggles but not yet.
How is the safety in Kia Sonet. I am also exploring options like 3xo, sonet, creta automatic variant... Not willing to buy a tata car... please suggest.
@@hidden_atsafety shouldn't be a consideration. Consider everything else. The difference between 3, 4 and 5 star rated cars is almost nothing. why no one is talking about the waiting period game mahindra plays to make you buy higher variant ? 3xo could be good car, if they deliver on time. there is unnecessary limited quantiy show off.

They are not delivering the base variants, it’s the best reason to avoid booking 3Xo and going for Kia Sonet. In Hyderabad, I got Kia sonet delivered in 3 days. And the features it offers at the price of 10L is unmatchable with 3xo. If you are looking for value for money variant, go for Sonet over 3xo for better mileage overall features. Only compromise is in rear seats. Best suitable for 4 members. I am enjoying it.
It's very much value for money. Go get a test drive of Sonet Gravity edition & then come here & bark. Don't comment if you have not taken actual experience. Foolish comment.
